I have a user who runs SRS/Crystal Reports on their Windows 11 Lenovo laptop, but every time we go to the website where a Java-enabled pop-up window for viewing spreadsheets is supposed to load we keep getting a "A plugin is required to play this content" error message, but no option to install/approve the running of Javascript.

I have downloaded and installed the JRE and JDK on the endpoint device, but still no luck getting Firefox to load it. I am running the 32-bit version of the web browser, not 64-bit, so I am kind of stumped about how to proceed from here.

Is there a place I can manually download/install these Java plug-ins?

I have at least one extension that has had a later version than what I have for days and firefox is not updating it even though everything is set to auto-update. i hate to have to uninstall/reinstall it since I will lose all the settings I have in place. Any ideas?

The developer says firefox is just waaay behind on extension updates and it isn't their fault.

Like the title says, whenever I try to zoom out of an image to make it smaller, it causes the image to zoom out very far in just one scroll "tick".

To be more specific, I'm talking about just scrolling (not using ctrl+scroll). An example would be with Piskel.com where you simply use the scroll wheel to zoom the canvas.

Zooming in is perfectly fine, but when I try to zoom out it seems to zoom out by 3 or 4 ticks. On some websites, such as Piskel, it even it zooms the image out all the way making it very small and impossible to see (It does it with just one scroll tick).

My question is if there is a way to change or fix the zooming, making things zoom out more incrementally. (I recently switched from Chrome which didn't have this problem)

I am NOT a fan of this relatively new Full-screen mode at all unless I initiate it when watching a movie or in very few other instances. I don't like any device second-guessing or anticipating what I need to do and when or if it needs to do this for me. It has caused me more problems than it has helped, and injected some frustrating delays getting what I want done due to the added need and interruption of being paused to constantly press F11 again and again. It's not second nature and at this point, I don't think it will be. I don't need or want this feature and I don't understand this new world where features have to be nailed down and locked now with the "like it or lump it" mentality without option to remove or disabled this? (Sorry, I don't like MS Edge either, and not only for this reason!) I would be happy to go back to a previous version of Firefox that is without this feature, if this is the only answer. I'm hoping it is not?

There was a previous very brief post on here that directed users to go to about:config and set full-screen-api.enabled to false in order to disable this feature, but no one positively confirmed that it worked and the thread was closed. This doesn't appear to be working for me with the most current version of Firefox.

Is there someone who can help give me peace in my life again by showing me how to disable this permanently and forever? I know about F11 and don't ever want to have to press it again! I would appreciate any help, and you might even make my Christmas list if it works?

Good day! I trust you all are well. I am using a Kensington Expert Mouse (wired, K64325), and KensingtonWorks application for settings. Although I use the slowest scrolling speed, the scrolling is still very fast i.e. one click is a full screen. In other applications the settings are working well. How can I slow down the scrolling? I use Last Pass for passwords & it's worked in the past on Firefox. After updating Firefox, the Last Pass extension in by toolbar is black - in the past I would click that, open the Last Pass page to sign in, then the icon turns red and functions. Now when I click the icon a frozen page comes up that never loads. I can sign in to the Last Pass webpage, but that doesn't turn on the extension.

Any advice appreciated - thanks!

My Honey shopping app is no longer working with the newest FoxFire update. I've uninstalled/reinstalled Honey THREE times and still not working. Have gone into Firefox App Manager and Honey shows green, meaning it has permission to run. HELP!

I've noticed that some websites will endlessly spam the console (in developer tools) with rubbish, and I would like to be able to block that from happening. I'm ignorant about this sort of stuff in general, and it confuses me how a website can even access my browser's console to begin with.

The latest example I came across which caused me to finally ask about it, was some strange JavaScript spam with some kind of < div > (had to edit this with spaces to show it in the post) structure containing over a thousand characters. I am running Firefox 99.0 on an iMac with MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. With a recent update to Firefox I can no longer print using the system dialog box as default. I did already try switching the "print.tab_modal.enabled preference" to "false" and that simply doesn't work. When that flag is set to "false" and I print from within Firefox, the Firefox print dialog comes up, not the system print dialog. Why can't I change it so that the system print dialog comes up by default?????

HOW do I stop searches from happening in the URL box? This is DRIVING ME CRAZY. The URL box is not long enough to show complete results and mouse over does not work either, so I PREFER to TAKE THE RISK and search from the search box on the middle of the home page. WHY has FF taken this control away from us? If it is a security issue, I would take the risk as the current problem makes the search suggestions limited in value since you cant see the complete suggestion UNLESS you go to the site

How do I upload a font I have installed on my computer to firefox? Its already a TFF file (true type) and I've uploaded it to the system. It won't show up on the firefox font dropdown menu though. How do I fix this? PS: I'm no coding expert please keep it simple

Firefox keeps disabling addons randomly, some of them are made by mozilla even. I am getting them from the official addon site so they shouldn't be illegitimate ones. Let me know what information about my install I can give to help.

Anyone know how to lessen the time that this pointless thing occupies my screen? It's only 4 seconds but sometimes it's in the way. I'd be okay with eliminating altogether too. Thanks in advance.

I recently installed AdBlocker, but then a site I visit daily closes after it loads.

I uninstalled AdBlocker and the site still closes after it loads.

I assume the problem was from AdBlocker, but not really sure why this happens.

Each time Firefox updates, the email client changes to the outlook default. The last 2-3 updates, mailto does not appear on the file,settings,applications menu. Nor will it populate if I type it in. I have tried every instruction to no avail. I am a long-time firefox user, non-techie and it is discouraging when things disappear with each update lately. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

When I right click Firefox in my taskbar I have a list of "recent" links show up. I have turned this off in about:config but they still show up. Any suggestions?
