I am using Firefox 125 in Windows 11. And this just happens recently.

Sometimes, quite frequently, when I click the addressbar wanting to input or select a new address. The Firefox UI freezes (before the dropdown list of addresses is shown). The video/audio/other effects are still working, and from task manager, it does not cost more CPU/mem than usual. But it does not response to key press or mouse action. All I can do (that I know of) is killing the processes. The problem does not seem related to "current" webpage I am browsing. And I have not installed new addons for a few months.

Any idea what should I look into?

I keep hitting sites where menus and selection boxes turn into unreadable Wing Dings? On W11 and cleared and rest the font cache in Windows and still repeatedly seeing the issue?

Sync just does NOT work. I installed FF on my Mac brand new and fresh... brand new machine. Signed into Sync. NOTHING. After 6-7 HOURS... nothing. It just gets NOTHING AT ALL from my Windows Desktop.

I've signed out of ALL Firefox/Mozilla sync sessions... signed in clean- all browsers are up to date. And the about:sync-log page shows a LONG streak of errors... NON STOP ERRORS.

Why?! Why can't we just sync extensions to install and bookmarks across machines? How is this that hard for Mozilla?!

Day after day and attempt after attempt of failures for a basic function of the browser.

Here is the text of the latest log and showing constant connection errors- mind you NOTHING is breaking on my internet as I'm often streaming things and watching stuff while surfing, or others in the house are. Our connection, and Firefox getting online, are all working fine. I am at a loss. I don't understand how this is so terribly broken out of the box that you can't just sign in and let it talk to their servers. I know Google has billions behind Chrome, but this shouldn't be so 1990's bad by comparison to Chrome sync.

When I view my bank statement in Firefox, everything appears fine, but when I print the statement, all occurrences of boldfce "S" on the printout are blank. This problem does not occur with Google. Running macOS Catalina, all maintenance applied, Firefox is at 125.0.3.

When I press the pause button on my keyboard, it doesn't stop the YouTube video like it used to. I'm not sure why it stopped working. I've checked the key, and it works fine in Chrome.

Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (I assume it's one of the options I have thru Firefox to block cookies), and I can't find where to allow cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences etc) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to (try, I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! When I would mouse-over a thumbnail on the Youtube home page I use to get a video preview with sound and text controls displayed. Video preview and controls are now missing on homepage thumbnails. Is there a way to get preview and controls back ?

I cleared the cache and cookies...no effect. Problem does not exist with Edge browser.

Using Windows 10 / Firefox browser 125.0.3 (64-bit)

I was able to open reddit.com without any problems earlier, but recentrly I'm not able to load it up anymore. The loading screen is eternal and it doesnt show any kind of error (unless it tries to connect for too long like a couple of minutes, then the error does shows up). The site still sends me notificarions through the browser though. Any other site loads up without a problem. I tried to use methods mentioned in the help article (turned off proxy, turned on network.dns.disableIPv6, deleted cookies and cache). In other browsers (Edge, for example) reddit.com loads just fine. Please help me if you can.

How do I turn off those annoying "update available" notifications/reminders that keep popping up? I've gone into Settings, and in the Updates section firefox only let's me select auto updates or check for updates. I searched online but couldn't seem to find anything about how to disable the notifications all together with the newer version of FF. It's driving me crazy, thinking of switching browsers because of this. Thanks in advance!

Since upgrading to the last version, 125.0.3 I'm getting tab crashes. Is there any way to go to a previous version? I have not had any issues with the websites I'm visiting until this new version of Firefox.

Need help figuring out why Firefox has a memory leak after an extended use of Firefox browsing. Don't know if its the result of an extension having this issue, or if its a Firefox bug. Hello! I updated FLOORP on the 5th May, FLOORP crashed and then Brave, Firefox, Waterfox, LibreWolf and Vivaldi started crashing. I had Brave and Vivaldi open when I launched FLOORP and FLOORP asked consent to update itself and after updating, it did not open in “previous session” and I could not open “previous session” through History. When I launched “Settings” from menu, “previous session” opened! I had pinned “Settings” earlier.

Now the bizarre happens; suddenly LibreWolf launches by itself also without “previous session” and open tabs in Brave and Vivaldi disappear to single New Tab. After some tinkering, I was able to restore “previous session” in LibreWolf, Brave and Vivaldi.

Now I close all browsers and open Firefox, no “previous session” and some random windows in its history, opening these random windows also opened “previous session”! 🙄But then Waterfox launches also without “previous session”, here clicking on OneTab extension recovered “previous session”.

Cutting short; I uninstalled, Waterfox, LibreWolf and FLOORP, this did not help, I ran System Restore twice to two different points and it has not resolved the issue.

I'm trying to determine if I'm having a Firefox issue or not. I've been using Firefox for many years and frequently use private windows.

I've got a new laptop with Windows 11 and have been noticing that my private windows are sometimes closing unexpectedly. After which, I can't get my tabs back. This has only happened with private windows, and not regular windows.

Is this an issue that's being reported in the community? Thanks.

Some months ago, Firefox stopped displaying the blue progress bar that would normally show once you clicked on the download icon. You still see the usual file info but now the progress bar of the download is gray instead of blue and is extremely hard to see. You have to look closely but in the first screenshot you can see where the shade of gray of the progress bar changes, just under the "6" of the "x86" part of the file name. But if you click on the "show all downloads" link, then the blue progress bar will show as usual for any in-progress downloads in the Library window, as shown in the second screenshot.

It isn't a huge issue but is still annoying when you just want to quickly see the progress of downloads in Firefox. I haven't changed any of the colors in Firefox or in Windows for that matter, I'm currently running Windows 10. All other dialog boxes, windows, etc. all display normally on my system. Just curious if anyone else is having this problem and hopefully a future update can take care of it.

I am trying to add custom search engines to Firefox. I have tried the steps given in the forum thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1212596.

However when I try to go and add the search engine as per the article given above I do not get the option. Please see the attached screen shot for more details. I do not want to add an extension or a plugin, but just manually have the option of adding search engines.

79 files taking 590MB created in 3 minutes, out of nowhere. Why were all these large files created?

Problem with using space bar when trying to post replies on YT or other sites. Can key text, but space bar does not work. On Google search page, can get only one space between words. Tried 2 different keyboards w/same problem. Doesn't seem to happen on Chrome or Safari. Re-installed Firefox with same results. Any thoughts, please? Thank you.

I deleted the old user names and passwords associated with my bank account. Now I can no longer login to my bank acct using Firefox. Only with another browser.

I tried to uninstall then reinstall Firefox but the problem continues. What to do now to login to my bank account?
