I have been using Firefox to join our web conferencing service (Callbridge) for years exactly the same way, but suddenly audio fails to work presumably since a recent Firefox update. (I'm currently running 127.0.2 (64bit) ) The mic in my headset works great in Firefox on other sites including onlinemictest.com. The mic is recognized by Firefox and permission is provided for the site. When I speak, there is an indication that my voice is heard by Firefox, but it is as if the mic is muted...no sound through Firefox even though the mic is not muted. Again, in another tab on a different site, the mic will work.

If I use Microsoft Edge browser with the same setup for Callbridge, everything works fine.

In Firefox it does indicate I have provided mic permission to the site, and the mic is clearly seen and working, but no sound from FF in the web conferences.

I have tried saving mic permission for the site, as well as removing it from Tools...Settings...Privacy & Security...Permissions...Microphone and permitting Mic use each time the site is launched. Page Info settings are all correct with permission to use the mic and speakers and I have tried enabling autoplay for the site.

I believe any Windows or hardware causes can be eliminated since the same setup works in Edge browser. It seems to be just a Firefox issue that has appeared recently when using the Callbridge site.

Text is blurry in Firefox when I am viewing on an external monitor. All Windows dialogs look normal and Chrome and Edge look fine. Only Firefox seems to have the problem. I am using the latest version of Firefox as far as I am aware (auto-update is turned on). The OS is Windows 11. The external monitor is set to 2560x1440 resolution and fonts are scaled to 125%. I'm not sure what other settings are important. I don't see setting in Firefox that seems likely to help.

There are very many over 1000 messages in inbox. As of today I can not see any more than the first 25 messages. System has been rebooted.

Why not?

Even though system says all software up to date maybe I can install newest firefox and see if that solves problem?

Hello Firefox is my default browser Now I have undesirable ads in the Promotions tab. Of course they disappear if I delete the Promotions tab, but the Promotions tab is very convenient. I can't mark them as spam. I don't have this problem at all with Chrome. Please tell me what to do. Sincerely

I have been using addons, that allow opening web pages in sidebar, and all share a similar drawback, which is why I believe it to be on the browser side. When I close the sidebar and open it again, the page gets reloaded. This makes using messengers etc. in sidebar much less comfortable. I noticed, however, that bookmarks and history, when opened in sidebar, remember the state the were in when last closed. Is there some simple way to make pages remember their state as well or it can only be done by changing the addons' or the browser's code?

Is there software that will being me (more or less) up to date? I'm pretty much computer illiterate, so keeping it simple would be greatly appreciated. Buying a new iMac and transferring files is a last resort...

You try to use it in that mode. I play a game where i need to use full screen mode It just started doing that. It doesn't matter what the view ratio is. 50 still turns blue. that first photo is after i return to regular mode. I have to reload the entire page. the second is full screen. I hope you can fix it.

So I just went to open Firefox and got an error message that I was trying to open an old version. I thought it was odd, so I tried it again. Same result. It offered to update, so I updated. Now when I open up Firefox, ALL my Bookmarks and Passwords are from, I dunno, 2, 3 years ago? Anyone have any idea how to get my current Bookmarks and Passwords back? Tried to find a CS phone number, but I can't. Probably a good thing, because I'm pretty p'd off right now.

UPDATE: All is not lost, it's just COMBINED with OLD Bookmarks. Passwords, those are toast :-/

I haven't loggued in to my matrix account in a long time. I didn't remember which way i used, so i used my email adress, which created a new account. Trying to log out and in again didn't showed me the other options such as login with mozilla (sso), so i deleted that new account (@sebbu2:mozilla.org). Meanwhile, I'm not sure i even am loggued out properly, since i get the same message when i try the original account (@sebbu:mozilla.org) that used mozilla sso.

Warun habe ich Version 115 und auf einem anderen PC und Laptop die Version 128. Alle behaupten ich hätte die neueste Version.Hauptproblem ist, daß seit dem 1.8.2024, 17.16 Uhr auf dem PC mit der Version 115 die Symbolleiste und alle Lesezeichen verschwunden sind. I am a long time user of Firefox (I remember the Netscape days...) Recently, I have come across rumblings about Firefox privacy defaults. At first i dismissed it as the usual whinging, but then i started to see what appears to almost be forks of Firefox. I have already ditched Thunderbird because of their nonsensical thread defaults. Surely, Firefox with its privacy focus wouldn't be making privacy decisions from collaboration with other browser companies like google & Microsoft? One of the early really great privacy innovations was in containers, but it is still an extension. Why? Because of the architecture of Chrome, its is not possible to have containers in chrome engined browsers. So is that why Mozilla didn't progress containers? Did the money from Google for default search engine (shame on you Mozilla) come with strings attached? I came across Librewolf which mostly use the Firefox code but with much more stringent privacy defaults, and with bundled ad blocker as part of the default installation. How can it claim to be more privacy focused than Firefox when it uses Firefox code? Firefox is supposedly the privacy focus browser so why is it following what Chrome and Edge do? They will NEVER gain lost market share by watering down their privacy settings which is the reason to even exist. It just antagonizes users like me. Or is that the point, a nice easy progression till oblivion and we all then accept an advertisement riddled internet.

all my tabs from open session disappeared?!?!?

and no way to restore it; the option disappeared and I never erased it or close any of the tabs manually and it was on sync. Where did they all go ? I can see now the history from my laptop mixed with my mobile under the history tab but the session disappeared?!?!

Firefox use to be EXCEPTIONAL and 2 years ago it star5ed to go downward; please convince me to stay loyal and not switch to brave or opera; this is becoming worst every months.

Only thing that happened is that I restared my phone earlier?!

I've used Firefox daily for more than 15 years. Suddenly, it locked me out and covers my screen with a dropdown asking for a Master Password. There is no way to get past it as I have no record of ever having or using one. eMails to Mozilla about this have gone unanswered. I am happy to erase and replace, but then I lose all the Passwords I have stored Firefox . How do I get the words I need and get to the Passwords? Thank you.
