I dont have much Ram space on my computer - but am working on expanding it.

ich habe seit Kurzem ein Problem mit Firefox auf meinem PC. Es erscheint folgende Fehlermeldung:

   „Das Lesezeichen- und Chronik-System wird nicht funktionieren, da eine der Dateien von Firefox von einer anderen Anwendung verwendet wird. Dieses Problem könnte von einer Sicherheitssoftware verursacht werden, beispielsweise von einem Virenscanner.“

Ich nutze dasselbe Firefox-Konto auf meinem Handy und auf meinem iPad. Dort funktioniert die Synchronisierung der Lesezeichen ohne Probleme. Das Problem tritt nur auf meinem PC auf.

Ich arbeite bereits seit mehreren Jahren mit Firefox und hatte dieses Problem bisher noch nie. In meinen Lesezeichen sind sehr viele wichtige Webseiten gespeichert, deshalb möchte ich diese auf keinen Fall verlieren.

Können Sie mir bitte mitteilen, wie ich dieses Problem beheben kann, ohne dass meine Lesezeichen verloren gehen?

I don't understand why auto:config is so difficult (for me at least) to create. Isn't there an easier way? I've tried following the directions and creating the 2 files. But I can't manage to successfully create auto:config.

I created and pasted the first tile into the prefs folder. For the 2nd, I noticed the firefox.cfg file I created in Notepad appended a .txt suffix. I pasted it into the Firefox top directory. Then typed auto:config into the address bar. Nothing happened. Can anyone tell what I did wrong? Is the .txt suffix not recognized? Or is there's an easier way to do this?

I am on release 140.12.1 esr and there appears to be no new updates available. If so, what release should I be on and can I just download and install to get back on the latest release

So I just upgraded my pc and it bricked my windows and to reinstall, I forgot to save the Firefox data before doing so because I thought it wouldn't cause any issue, well, now all my bookmarks etc. are gone and I'm wondering if there is some sort of backup somewhere saved by Mozilla in the cloud.

My Firefox account data seem to have ben ALL deleted after a regular computer restart. There are no backups in the Firefox profile folder either. Years worth of passwords, bookmarks, tabs ALL GONE. After computer restart, when I was restarting Firefox, I vaguely remember a prompt on the screen that Firefox servers don't contain any data for my profile anymore. How could this have been brought on by a computer restart though?Any ideas what is the problem here, and how to recover my profile data? Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Been to various sites for diag info. I have uninstalled antivirus and tried it, no joy. I have done all the following to each folder - compess, repair, deleted old emails, etc. (I actually have rules that are to do this automatically). I have captured config info, uninstalled and installed fresh. Still have the problem. -- and finally restored so I still have email addresses, etc. etc. This problem has started for me with in the past 2 weeks.

1) ALSO note: I am running W11 home. Mozilla keeps calling this W10. I do not know what the difference is between Home and Pro, but I am planning to upgrade to PRO within 2 months (looking for a reasonable deal on the cost of the upgrade). 2) Wife's computer is W11 Pro, she does not have the problem.

Following some changes in our organization, we had to create new email addresses with new domain names. We have kept the old ones until now but we decided to erase some that had not received emails for a while.

Since we did that, we have encountered some problems regarding one of our computer. We can't send emails because Thunderbird is asking us for the passwords of the deleted email accounts. When we click on cancel, a window opens saying (roughly translated from French): "The email could not be sent. Authentification to the SMTP (outgoing server) failed. Please verify your password and the "Authentification method" in the "Account parameters | Outgoing server (SMTP) menu." The email was sent from a completely different email address than the one linked to the email account.

We deleted the accounts and cannot access this menu. Has it happened to anyone? What would be the solution to be able to send email again on that computer?

Within the past day or so, which means 7-18-26 or later, some of my email messages on thunderbird for my pc have a "From" description that is not correct. I look at the messages, and the "From" is entirely different than the "From" description when looking at the email message list. I have never encountered this problem before. I'm using thunderbird 152.0.1 64-bit on my pc.

If Thunderbird startup is stopped before tabs are loaded, they are lost. The tab fields at the top of the screen remain but they are empty. Evidently, tabs are stored only in a temporary location. This is a very annoying bug. Is there a way to recover them?

is it possible to get a button or a shortcut to toggle the option full-screen-api.ignore-widgets without using about:config? An addon is not possible I guess because it is an internal option addons shouldn't have access to this.
