Starting this morning I suddenly cant delete or mark emails as read in Outlook.live.com. Even if I open an email, and it appears as read after that, if I refresh or leave the page and come back, its marked as read again.

I tried dropping all add-ons (a kill switch to drop all add-ons and re-activate them is still a feature I feel Firefox needs, I have to click every single one of them every time) to no avail.

I was in the process of writing this question on the Microsoft forums (which is usually like whizzing in the wind) when I thought to try a different browser. I had zero issues and Outlook.live.com worked perfectly normal on Microsoft Edge.

This HAS to be a bug in a recent update in Firefox

Finally got tired of the nagging messages to update TBird (because I was afraid of the new bugs it would introduce...) lo and behold, predictably, there's a problem. I open it; the icon has a badge indicating new messages, but THERE IS NO TBIRD WINDOW. My mac thinks that TBird is open, but it is NOT ACCESSIBLE.

When I click on the icon to open it, a window does appear, but it hangs in "ceaseless spinning beachball of death" mode. If I do ANYTHING, like navigate to another program, while waiting, that window disappears, never to be seen or accessible again. If I try to switch to the "open" TBird app, I get the blue spinning ball of death.

I force quit, start over again, and go through this same process. When I double click on the icon, it says "application not responding." Ad nauseum.

Since upgrading to Thunderbird 102, I can no longer see nor download any new posts to NNTP newsgroups. When I try to get messages, there is a "flash" giving some number of messages, but they never download. It also seems that any posts I try to make aren't made.

As shown in the attached screen capture, recently these subfolders of "sent" have appeared to the left of the folder. They make the folders undeleteable. How do I get rid of them? I want to delete "sent" and create a fresh new "sent" folder.

Hi, I just got a new HP Windows 11 desktop. I used Thunderbird on my old Dell Windows 10 PC fine. I have Spectrum for email and it's time warner cable twc.com they are also Charter. My new PC came with a trial of McAfee. I am having a problem I saw someone else post where I can receive email but not send I get error about timed out and just now got this Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) .gmail.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again. I asked Spectrum if it had to do with Mcafee they said no to contact you all. They said my settings are right which I copied off my old PC. I thought I used to always be pop3 but they said it's imap. I receive just fine just can't send. It worked on my old PC fine. Thanks! Hello I am trying so hard to contain my anger, I am so angry and frustrated i am finding it hard to get help and i am in just dispare over this i have spend days trying myself to fix this i dont know what do anymore i am so very very angry, i am beyond fury with this i cant get any help i just cant believe this is happening

When trying to click on links inside PDFs, the url is changed to undefined, producing an error message. For example, a Hostgator article is converted from https://hostgator.com/help/article/how-do-i-change-my-dns-or-name-servers to https://undefined/help/article/how-do-i-change-my-dns-or-name-servers

I have tried clearing the cache, troubleshooting, and get the same result in safe mode, and reverting back to Firefox default settings. And I still get the same result. I've attached an image of the error message.

Ever since last Firefox update have been unable to access my DNA matches in my Ancestry program. Are you working on fixing whatever it is that you did to cause this? Heather

About 2 months ago I started getting errors accessing Yahoo mail in Thunderbird. I deleted the account and set up my IMAP according to the recommendations on the Yahoo site for third party apps. I have TB 102.4.2 64 bit on my HP desktop running Ubuntu 22.04. I have repeatedly, at least 20 times reconfigured to no avail. I have used TB with no problem for over 10 years. Back a few months ago I did set an application password for Yahoo as well.

I have looked at the solutions posted over and over again but no suggestions work.

Here are my settings: Incoming mail: Server Name: imap.mail.yahoo.com Port: 993 Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication Method: OAuth2 User Name: Myname@yahoo.com

Outgoing Mail: Server Name: smtp.mail.yahoo.com Port: 465 Connection Security: SSL/TLS Authentication Method: OAuth2 User Name: Myname@yahoo.com

What gives?

Keep getting this on a number of websites. Most of them I have used for years. Can't give the websites as there are too many but some are pitchsidemanager.com, hattrick.org, skysports.com and sportinglife.com . Just four of at least 14 give the Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site message. I use No Proxy and have my anti-virus turned off when I get the message. I have tried various other proxy settings but the same thing happens. The thing is that I have to keep refreshing the page until it does actually connect and that can take a good few minutes. Sometimes I have to restart the browser. Why is this happening since the last few updates?

When I download a file before I even have a chance to save or open the file Firefox downloads the file and puts it on my desktop. I have to look at lots of .pdf files and this a bit annoying as I have to keep deleting all the files I dont want. The dialog box opens and I always choose open rather than save but Firefox has already saved a copy to my desktop. How can I stop this autosave please ? Cheers.

Suddenly overnight I am no longer able to send mail through the outgoing smtp server, and I get the following message: The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.twc.com timed out.

I went to the Thunderbird help page and my ISP Spectrum provider and tried everything and nothing works, making sure that all settings on the outgoing server are correct. I have no problem receiving mail. I am at the point of dropping Thunderbird as the only way I can send mail out is through Spectrum webmail, which is very unsatisfactory. I think Thunderbird is great and do not want to drop it but I am at wits end. Any suggestions? Jerry

During a recent outage Thunderbird "send" function was disabled. This has happened before during previous Internet service maintenance On this occasion the thunderbird .exe program was employed which resulted in creation of a new email service, even though email address was the same etc.. The new account 'eventually' reloaded the inbox with current messages, however the address book is empty and the file structure of saved info is also deleted. Q. Is it possible to recover the data which did not reload ??? email address is "[edited email from public] @tpg.com.au"

Merely typing an email when the tab and window it was in shut down (am using linux mint and most recent FF build.) I have difficulty understanding programmer directions as typically given but can follow a path > to files and folders. I found firefox old backups and sessions folder but none of the session restore files are dated, won't open and won't restore. I wish there was a straight-forward path to restore "my sessions" when issues develop. Just show me where the file path > where the files are > and what to click. Thank you.

How can I be rid of this annoyance? The "latest copy" to download is what I'm already running! This began with my update to version 91.10.0 from the previous version.

I am a longtime Thunderbird user, currently running 115.6.0 (32-bit). Very recently Windows Defender is detecting malware it identifies as Trojan:HTML/Phish!pz. Defender is unable to quarantine or eliminate the threat.

The specific file is appearing in Volume Shadow Copy data when I am running backup: file: \Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy55\Users\fhanz\AppData\Local\Thunderbird\Profiles\sootdszw.default-release\cache2\entries\342F92977A0BA0715CB8880A9289BC8F8827262C

I've attempted several times to remove the offending file(s), but the problem returns.

What is the best method to determine the source of this malware and effectively eliminate it returning?

If it matters, I use Chrome as my default browser.

When replying to an e-mail there is an option to inlcude the orignial message in the reply. since the new version of TB this option does not work see picture

No matter how many times I click on the include message choice no check mark appears. and the message is not included in the reply

I can't believe I am the only one with this issue??

My Thunderbird program stopped receiving emails about 36 hours ago. I can send email from Thunderbird, but not send. I can receive emails if I sign onto the email server on the web. But Thunderbird does not receive. Thanks.
