I have been seeing these annoying colorful dots popping up on websites that ruin the otherwise excellent browsing experience. They sort of move around as I scroll. They aren't limited to specific websites and show up randomly.

When they strike, certain site elements disappear too - like the social sharing badges in the screenshots I've attached.

Thought it was a temporary problem that'd be fixed with an update but it's stuck around for months now.

Anyone else facing this problem?

Hi, After using Thunderbird for years without problems, I ran into a serious one now (since a few days). When starting Thunderbird it comes up with three almost empty windows, one over the other. No data is filled in and when clicking on the window it says in the upper left corner: Starting page - Modzilla Thunderbird (no response) / (actually in German) Startseite - Modzilla Thunderbird (Keine Rückmeldung). The small login popup is also seen in the window but doesn't accept any typing and shows also 'Keine Rückmeldung / no response'. I can only stop the process on Windows level. I would be very grateful if you could help me with this issue. I cannot get to my emails anymore. Many thanks Holger

Hi, after upgrading the programs to version 115.10.1 after restarting, all folders in the folder panel disappeared. I still have all accounts visible in the account settings. I attach a screenshot.

I follow someone instructions: Menu icon > Help > More Troubleshooting Information Under 'Application Basics' - Profile Folder - click on 'Open Folder' A new window opens showing contents of your 'profile name' folder Exit Thunderbird now - this is important Scroll down - delete all of the following files.

   folderCache.json
   folderTree.json
   session.json
   xulstore.json 

Start Thunderbird With no results. Thank you for any help.

Hi!

I'm trying to determine if I'm having a Firefox issue or not. I've been using Firefox for many years and frequently use private windows.

I've got a new laptop with Windows 11 and have been noticing that my private windows are sometimes closing unexpectedly. After which, I can't get my tabs back. This has only happened with private windows, and not regular windows.

Is this an issue that's being reported in the community? Thanks.

I see my original question is now archived at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1380948#question-reply I never closed it because I didn't know if my last process could really fix the issue. It didn't, not always. Over the years, there have been times when the issue would still pop up, but not as often as before (2022 and earlier).

I have a feeling that during an issue, FF is having difficulty setting up shop after starting up. Consequently, it is spending more time before it could become prepared to connect to the Net. I've come up with another "solution," which is deleting (or moving out) xulstore.json in the profile folder after exiting or before starting FF. You can create a batch command or script to execute the process.

So far, FF is connecting immediately after startup.

[SHIFT]+[DEL] works to permanently delete single messages, but when multiple emails are selected the emails just go to the trash as if I hadn't used [SHIFT]+[DEL].

I have not disabled the warning pop up which asks you to confirm that you really want to permanently delete the emails. I get this warning when there is only one message selected but not when multiple messages are selected.

When I look at the trash I see that the selected emails are there instead of being immediately deleted.

I am having this problem in Troubleshoot mode as well. This is in Linux on a Chromebook.

Hello, since upgrading to 115 Thunderbird has disabled all add-ons, and does not have an option to reenable them. This was done to several extensions which are not marked as incompatible including "NestedQuote Remover" and "Unmangle Outlook Safelinks". Removing and uninstalling them solves nothing. Indeed, the button to install from the market does not work. I had to save to and then install from a local file to test this.

I am not in trouble-shooting mode, but I have found that "Load Temporary Add-on" in debugging works for the current session.

(I tried searching Google and this forum to no avail.... only turning up irrelevant thread about older versions, Firefox etc.)

Am using 115.10.1 Thunderbird on Windows 10. This email account inbox shows one unread message, but I can't find any unread message. Toggled message threads to see if a previous message was unread, but could not find any there either. Have both closed Thunderbird and restarted the computer, but it made no difference. It is bothersome, but my main concern is whether this is indicating some virus or other hack of my computer. This is just a home computer, not on a business network. Do have it on wi-fi. Is it just a matter of somehow resetting the unread message indicator or is it a sign of something more serious?

After last 2 updates several emails were showing up as code. I think I have that stopped. But now 1 email combines with many with to & subject correct, but the from & preview is all the same email from Amazon from 2017.As time goes on, it takes over more emails. My phone email is fine, so this is strictly a Thunderbird issue again.I used sfc/scannow & it said it found problems & they were repaired. Now I see a few more emails look like this. I'm about ready to chuck Thunderbird & go back to Outlook. This has been going on for several weeks with the first issue, the combined emails just started today.

Hello, I have Webmail by Godday. I have been using Thunderbird for many years to connect to my accounts without issue. Past couple days I get an error message saying it can't connect to the server. Godaddy says they haven't changed anything. I can log in on Webmail but not with Thunderbird. Thunderbird brings up my mail from before it couldn't log in so I have all my stuff I have saved but I can't get new mail or send mail. I deleted Cache, restarted and all that... Hi, first the last update tried a few times over some days to install. Never got confirmation that it has been installed successfully. When I go to "About Firefox" I'm getting the information that I'm using the latest version.

Now I have problems, mainly when using facebook (especially when I try to play games through facebook) that Firefox uses enormous amounts of CPU and Memory. This does not happen all the time but at least in 70% of tries. I attached 2 screenshots

If this happens I'm not able to close Firefox the normal way but have to kill the process in the task manager.

Any quick help would be appreciated. I would also like to know if I'm the only one experiencing this or if it's a common problem.

Hello. For some unknown reason, when I open "New Funclub Casino" everything runs just fine: login, search, funding, history, etc... However, when I click on a game to play, it begins to open a new page to load, immediately stops and displays "Device or Browser not supported." I can't pinpoint a reason nor have any explanation as to why this just started happening when everything functioned perfectly fine without any issues in the past. What am I missing or not aware of that's changed?

Repeated freezing/crashes with Firefox browser despite refreshes/new installs

I've been using Firefox for about six months. I'm a MacBook user with the most recent version of Sonoma installed. After a month or so of using Firefox it starts crashing and freezing. Sometimes I can't restart it for several minutes. Whenever this happens, I refresh it. I've refreshed it about twice. I've re-installed it twice too, but it keeps happening. Most settings are default, but I wanted to include the settings in case this could be the problem: - I've turned off Firefox home content - I've turned off all passwords and autofill features - Never Remember History - Do Not Track and Tell Websites not to share/sell my data are turned on - I left the standard-level security settings as is

I have one extension installed.

The only other browser I have installed is Safari and I am not having these issues. I should add that I don't receive any error messages when this happens, it just freezes. The most recent issue is that I was clicking on buttons on a website and it wasn't working, but when I started using the Safari browser (which also set to private mode) it worked fine.

When it works I love Firefox and would like to keep using it. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this.

After accidentally cutting power to my pc, Firefox has been crashing upon start. I've tried using Troubleshoot Mode, refreshing, reinstalling, and even manually deleting all my user data, but nothing has worked. These crashes do not appear in the crash logs, and happen instantly upon opening the program.

Oddly enough, using task manager to restart Windows Explorer stops the crashing, at least for thirty or so seconds (this is how I was able to try Troubleshoot Mode, as well as accessing logs). I have no idea why this is, nor if it's useful information.

Hello, Firefox just released the newest version on PC and advertised it with a speedtest: https://browserbench.org/Speedometer3.0/ I made that test and got a score of 7.03 I made that test on Opera mobile (My phone got locked while the speedtest was running, so this may had impact) and got a score of poorly 2.14 BUT on Mozilla mobile which I can confirm feels SLOW is the speed score: 1.70 And now lesser is not = better. I like that you can arrange tabs, I like that you can use addons, but I miss a scrollbar, I miss side LOADING/OPENING speed. Many many people love Firefox on PC, but why is it that slow on mobile? And why can I not get a button to scroll fast up and down? I have to install a addon which I need to access everytime to click "scroll to top/bottom". That isn't handy!

I really wish, the developers would share some love, because I LOVE firefox, but this is just not useable :( I mean come on, a scrollbar! Give it me! And SPEED. And no my Samsung Galaxy S10+ with 8GB ram isn't too slow.

Hello; I installed a new web page. While the page opens properly in browsers such as Safari and Chrome, in Firefox it constantly displays 403 forbidden Access to this resource on the server is denied! gives an error. I deleted the caches. I did flush DNS. I even reset firefox. I tried everything but the page still gives an error. There is only a dry WordPress content. How can I get rid of this error? Thanks.
