The videos take a long time to play. I upgraded my system recently and was removing and reinstalling audio-related utilities with DNF.

When a bookmark is made, there is no option anywhere to add tags using windows 11 - I had no problem with tagging bookmarks using Firefox in windows 10, but that option is not showing up for me in windows 11. I have refreshed Firefox with no success to try to correct this situation - thanks in advance for any help you may provide – del

I see with windows Firefox version 118 a TLS extension id 65037 on every client hello handshake containing a bunch of data. Does somebody know what this extension is used for? I couldn't find anything about this on the web or in the firefox docs / release notes. Other browser (chrome / edge) don't have this extension in use.

instagram.com not asking for notification permission, so I'm not able to receive notifications from this site.

Someone else experiencing this? Is there something that I and/or Firefox and/or Instagram can do to fix this?

• Settings> Sites Permission> Notifications is set to Ask to allow
• there's no record of instagram.com on Settings> Sites Permission> Exceptions
• Tested also with addons disabled
• Firefox version: 117.1.0 (Build #2015973691), from Google Play Store

In windows 10, I got used to opening a new window in FF and then a "tab" for the new window would open in the taskbar. I could then switch between windows by clicking on these tabs on the taskbar. In windows 11, I can click on the FF icon in the taskbar and open a new window, but a tab for that new window no longer appears on the taskbar. Instead of the previous tabs on the taskbar for each new/open window, there is nothing. I have tried the suggestion, found in another thread, to use about:config to change to false the setting browser.taskbar.previews.enable, but there was no difference. Does someone know another approach, or is this a windows 11 "feature"?

Recently, when I try to play a video on YouTube on Firefox, there is a flickering brightness effect (some aspects of the video seem to flicker bright and dark quickly) which is distracting and makes it difficult to watch anything. The effect persists even when launching in troubleshooting mode, and disabling hardware acceleration and restarting appears to have no effect. I have also been unsuccessful refreshing Firefox. Nevertheless, this issue is absent on Safari and Chrome when watching the same video.

When I find the same video two different places (ex: the Apple Sept 12 Event on Apple's site, versus on YouTube) only the YouTube video has the issue. However, I can't find any settings to change on YouTube to help this.

Seems like in a recent upgrade an additional empty toolbar row was added to Firefox. How to remove it? When I view "Customize toolbars" I see the following page. How to remove the additional empty toolbar? I've read other answers to this problem here and see no way to execute those instructions. Thanks!

When I click on a link from an email or document, Firefox opens but goes to my homepage and doesn't go to the link page. I've tried setting my home page to blank, changed the settings for opening a new tab or window, and the one for "switch to it immediately" but it doesn't seem to help. How do I fix this? Hi I used to often use the Firefox Translations (by Mozilla Firefox) add-on to translate web pages in the browser. It was the one in the screen shot below. It was brilliant and a couple of days ago it disappeared off my screen. When I opened a French webpage there was no button at the top to translate and all I get now is the option to copy and paste 1000 characters into a box! I cannot find the original one - unless this has replaced it? In which case, not happy! The other was much better. Can anyone help me get the original again or recommend something similar? Thanks

I like Ctrl+Shift+B to open the Library (Manage Bookmarks/Show All Bookmarks). For maybe two years I was using this, but it stopped working in 117:

Dorando keyconfig isn't current. Shortkeys won't even install and probably won't do what I want anyway. AutoHotkey will do it, but I'd rather not use it for this.

There is an element with id "titreChapitre_-5776306477855185115" in the page (chapter "Personnes ayant un test de dépistage positif" which means "People who test positive to Covid", Chrome will scroll to this chapter (well, at least 60% of time it auto scrolls to the element) while Firefox will always display the top of the page.

For some reason every type of embedded video, youtube, webms, etc, all show up washed out in white. This only happens in FF and I have tried a few ways to fix, but no luck. Any ideas?

I am unable to login to my Prescription provider's website (which I do every day). Problem started Sunday and still persists.

I am able to login using Chrome, so I know the website is working properly.

Help - I DO NOT want to use Chrome.

On a site with a menu along the top the rightmost item is missing, and only in Firefox, not Chrome or Edge. It happens on various pages with the same menu setup. I cleared cookies & cache, turned off extensions, no luck. See attached image. What could the problem be ?

In Edit > Settings > Search > Search Bar I see a radio button labeled: "Use the address bar for search and navigation"

How do I turn that function completely off?
