TL;DR : Disqus comments used to work while using privacy Strict mode now it doesn't.

After years of it working out of the get-go while using Strict mode up till recently (about a year ago this was really low on my priority list) refused to work I though it was my Ad blocker was causing issues but after setting it in the filters to allow and even after turning it off still no dice.

Removed all add-ons tried again still Disqus comment section refused to load in the websites I regularly visit. So after giving up, I just look around in the browser setting to see if there is anything that may cause conflict with certain scripts from running.

I just lost several hundred tabs on Firefox mobile right after it updated itself. The most recent tabs show only ten of those tabs, which were all opened and closed today and aren't part of what I need to restore.

How do I get my tabs back? I've seen no 'restore previous session' option. My laptop only shows the few I have open now. What do I do to restore them?

For System Administrative reasons, I want to disable automatic Firefox updates. Firefox can ask me if I want to install an update, but I get to choose whether or not to update.

On a couple of sites (e.g. Petapixel) when I click "Load Comments", nothing happens. I suspect this may be because Firefox security is preventing comments from loading because of site tracking or other security issues. Is this the cause?

Dear sir, madam, I have a Thunderbird account. I have access to it and to the menu, but I have to put a password in to receive my new emails. I don't know my password and have tried really everything that is suggested on your website to get my password, renew it, access a reboot-option etc: nothing works - I still keep getting a window where I am asked to put in the password for my account. Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? Thank you for your time.

Things I've tried. Adding exceptions in the privacy settings in 2 seperate areas. Resetting Browser deafults. Turning off all vpn's and addons.

I recently downloaded and installed Thunderbird but forgot my primary password. Have tried the solutions available at the Mozilla website with no luck. I have also deleted the program and my Mozilla account, and started over from scratch. Still no luck.

This started a few weeks ago. I thought it might have been because I synced the passwords with other devices. I reverted it back.

When in about:logins, I click on the log in button but nothing happens.

My Thunderbird password has been compromised and I've been trying to create a new password for my email inbox. I've followed all the guides but just can't seem to do this!! My email location does not appear in 'saved passwords' which doesn't seem to be helping...please help!!

I used to be able to print my usernames and password list. I can only see it in an abbreviated form using the latest Thunderbird revision (with Microsoft). Any suggestions?

Among these release notes, "Firefox’s private windows and ETP-Strict privacy configuration now enhance the Canvas APIs with Fingerprinting Protection, thereby continuing to protect our users’ online privacy." How good or bad is the feature? There's the canvas blocker extension which might now be obsolete, then again without details this is impossible to anser. How exactly does the Canvas API enhance Fingerprinting Protection with this new update? The release notes don't explain that, where do i find details? Firefox should use this for all windows not only private ones.

Among the relase notes, "Firefox is rolling-out Cookie Banner Blocker by default in private windows for users in Germany during the coming weeks. Firefox will now auto-refuse cookies and dismiss annoying cookie banners for supported sites." I'm not german but would still like to use this feature as the cookie agreement popups are extremely annoying and time intensive to dismiss. Apparently in about:config "cookiebanners.service.mode" is the precise setting name. Does it have to be set to "1" to be active? This setting seemingly has the potential to replace extensions such as "Cookie AutoDelete" or uBlockOrigins Filterlists/Easylist cookie notices. Firefox should use this for all windows not only private ones.

Firefox will remove non-essential URL query parameters that are often used to track users across the web." I don't get why this would only be active in private windows and germany. Firefox should use this for all windows not only private ones.

This will be enabled by default on Windows, macOS, and Android, and if needed, can be turned off in settings (Preferences → Privacy & Security → Certificates)." I've no idea what to think about this, is it a good or bad change and why? Don't try to fool me here, i want honest ansers no BS... is there potential for abuse? If Firefox uses CA's from the OS then what happens to firefox internal CA's, remain unchanged?

Among the release notes: "Firefox supports a new “Copy Link Without Site Tracking” feature in the context menu which ensures that copied links no longer contain tracking information." While this is a welcome change, i'd be much much more useful to replace “Copy Link Without Site Tracking” with “Open Link Without Site Tracking”... Otherwise there's the needless waste of time manually open a new tab and paste the link... This completely lacks any logic if you ask me, why didn't mozilla make it as i suggest above in the first place? Why the manually klick klick waste of time?

Lastly a question unrelated to this update, when RFP is enabled and the browser-screen-size is spoofed, if i go into fullscreenmode by accident, will this expose my true resolution or not?

I just updated to Firefox 120, and tried the new GPC setting (Tell websites not to sell or share my data). I ran into a problem when I went to the Xfinity community forums (https://forums.xfinity.com/) . It causes a banner on top showing they recognize the setting. There is an "X" in the corner, and some text that says "Hide this banner", but they are not active. Plus, I cannot make a new post or do a general reply (that weird forum software has both local replies to a particular post and general replies to the general thread.)

Is this a bug in Firefox, or a bug in their forum software? I attached a picture of the message it gives.

I am on a new install of windows 11 (from new windows 10). I can log into Gmail on the browser(Firefox) fine. I set allowing cookis and all the other stuff I could find but I can NOT get gmail to work.
