I receive the following message when going to nba.com (just nba.com, no videos, etc)
"A Secure Connection Failed error page will include a description of the error and a Try Again button. There is no option to add a security exception to bypass this type of error."
This (There is no option) means that I have to quit using Firefox?

I have been successfully using Thunderbird (TB) with gmail for years, including via OAuth2 after gmail started requiring it. However, recently one of my gmail accounts stopped working. This seems to have happened when gmail incorrectly thought that I was attempting access from a new client or a new computer and required that OAuth2 authorization be re-established. Now any attempt to access the account from Thunderbird (receiving or sending mail) results in the OAuth2 pop-up window requesting that I allow Thunderbird to access my gmail account. I select "allow", the pop-up closes, and Thunderbird shows "Host contacted, sending login information..." but it never succeeds. After about 2 minutes, it times out with no further message. I have a second gmail account configured in the same instance of Thunderbird, and it continues to work without difficulty; for that account, gmail has not required that OAuth2 authorization be re-established. I am running TB 114.4.1 on Windows 10. I have ensured that cookies are enabled in TB and local storage of passwords in TB is disabled. In my Google account (the one that does not work in TB), I see that access for Thunderbird has been enabled.
I have tried many things, including moving my TB profile to a different folder and uninstalling/installing TB cleanly (no pre-existing profile). Attempting to set up the gmail account in the new installation fails in the same way, when trying to get OAuth2 authorization. Attempting to set up the other gmail account, which was previously working, now also fails. By moving my old profile back to its normal location and re-installing TB, I can get back to where I was (one gmail account works, the other fails).
I have access to another computer, belonging to a friend, also running Windows 10 and having TB installed. In that instance of TB, I tried creating an account tied to the gmail account that is not working in my computer. There I was able to set up OAuth2 access successfully. That TB installation is old, running version 91.7.0. I tried installing TB 91.7.0 on my computer, but there the OAuth2 authorization process still fails.
I have read RFC 6749, which describes how OAuth2 works. It says:
"The abstract OAuth 2.0 flow illustrated in Figure 1 describes the interaction between the four roles and includes the following steps: (A) The client requests authorization from the resource owner. The authorization request can be made directly to the resource owner (as shown), or preferably indirectly via the authorization server as an intermediary. (B) The client receives an authorization grant, which is a credential representing the resource owner's authorization, expressed using one of four grant types defined in this specification or using an extension grant type. The authorization grant type depends on the method used by the client to request authorization and the types supported by the authorization server. (C) The client requests an access token by authenticating with the authorization server and presenting the authorization grant. (D) The authorization server authenticates the client and validates the authorization grant, and if valid, issues an access token. (E) The client requests the protected resource from the resource server and authenticates by presenting the access token. (F) The resource server validates the access token, and if valid, serves the request."
Apparently the failure is occurring at step (C) or (D). Either TB fails to request the token correctly, or the authorization server fails to issue the token. Step (B) succeeds; the pop-up requests my username and password, and those are accepted; if I intentionally type the wrong password, it fails.
I still have access to my mail in the problematic gmail account using gmail's web client, but I really need access via a client on my own computer, preferably TB, so that I can store messages locally and sort/access them in more flexible ways.
Please help. I've been struggling with this for many weeks, and I've spent countless hours trying to fix it.

When a "+" sign is entered, alone, into address bar, a list of some visited sites instantly appears. How do I delete these sites and prevent sites from being saved in the future?
I've searched everywhere I can find for an answer to this question, or for a place to submit it, and failed.
In Privacy & Security > History I've un-checked all except "Clear history when Firefox closes" which is checked. In > "Address Bar--Firefox Suggest", I've disabled all options.
I clear "Recent History, Everything" (Cookies and Site Settings are left unchecked) frequently.
Thank you for your help!

Since pretty much the beginning of the internet, pop-ups were deemed a significant annoyance, so much so it diminished and ruined the users’ browsing experience and significantly reduced efficiencies. Hence the addition of pop-up blocking settings to all browsers long ago.
However, for some unknown reason Firefox gives Google a free pass and allows their “sign-in” pop-up that pop-ups seemingly on every website you visit where you then have to then manually close the pop-up on pretty much every single website you visit - even though you have the pop-up blocker setting on ( and the only way to turn off a pop-up blocker is to specifically add a website to allow for pop-ups).
This is absolutely horrible and not acceptable. If you have the pop-up setting on, no pop-up should be allowed to get through no matter what it is or the source. If you allow one pop-up to continue then you should be allowing hundreds of thousands of other pop-ups as well. But you wouldn’t as you know this would be unacceptable, but again, somehow Firefox allows Google’s pop-up to go through and it pop-ups on pretty much every single website you visit.
Note that I selected Privacy and Security Setting as the "topic" above as that is were Firefox has it's pop-up setting (and where you can add exceptions to allow pop-ups for specific websites)

This started when I received an email that spoofed my own email address and I marked it "Junk". The problem is that I send myself emails with reminders and other information that I want to access later. Now, whenever I send myself an email, it ends in Junk. I made sure my email address is in all of the address/contacts lists on Thunderbird. Every time emails from my own address end up in Junk, I use shift+J to mark them "not junk". I have done this at least a 100 times for numerous messages. I disabled junk processing, restarted, delete the junk folder, re-enable junk processing, start thunderbird again. How can I remove my own email address from the Junk filter?

Hi
I've already described the issue on the XDA forum, but nothing has been resolved and the problem is still there and I've read about security vulnerabilities in the browser and it could have fallen into this one Party I don't know anymore. but since the version with the ending 17, I don't remember exactly now. It was the first application with a virus, I mean Fennec, downloaded from fdroid. I had the same with google play, now I know that this purple version had nothing for me. Later it went downhill. . Maybe you have an idea, I know that on Reddit someone also complained about the virus. I'm pasting a post from xda, using the phone is a pain terribly. 'Hi XDA
writes with the help of a translator. So I can say something wrong for which I apologize.
I'm having a problem with my phone's security. VirusTootal detects the Trojan for me in applications where the Trojan is not present.
I've tried cleaning my phone.but it doesn't help.
I'm using F-Droid and I'll use this example to tell you what's going on. for some time now I have been updating almost all the new ones that I download zl from there I also download with a Trojan, these applications are clean in other users. And I'm sure they're okay, but not for me. I don't know what's going on, I thought they were false positives but why would I be the only one who has it?
Maybe I'll add pictures, it will explain more. It's just about this one virus, if I go back to an older version I don't have it.
The ones from Google Play have some too.
Be it from github or fdroid -It doesn't matter :(
Some manage to be clean, but really these are the cases..
Of course, I also downloaded mods. I've always tried to check them through App Manager and VirusTool API.
and I might not have checked one either - I don't rule it out
thanks for the reply and tips. health for all' I would like to add that I used this browser because of the add-ons and options.. The photos are just a preview and a fraction of the problem. Nothing helps from resetting, deleting apk by even adb and after updates.

I'm a software developer working on some web application and sometimes need to manually add URL components in the address bar of an open tab simpyl to test something. For example I have some tab open shwoing the web page under "http://localhost:8080/entry" and I need to test "http://localhost:8080/entry/foobar" by manually adding "/foobar" to the URL. Depending on if "/foobar" exists or not, either some web page is shown or inc ase of a HTTP status code 404 Firefox automatically opens a new tab and forwards my input as search to Google.
That is not what I want. I want Firefox to simply show the HTTP status code 404 like the other browsers I use. Though, I want to be able to search in the address bar in general, only not in case there's an existing working URL open already and I change the child path only.
Is there some way to disable the behaviour of Firefox for 404s or do I need to completely disable searches in the address bar instead?
Thanks!
