I have updated Thunderbird to the latest version and created an exception to accept cookies from Google by entering https://accounts.google.com in the appropriate field.

However, upon restarting Thunderbird I still get the message "Login to server imap.googlemail.com with username monikawalteris@gmail.com failed."

Please tell me what else I need to do. I love Thunderbird and would hate to use Outlook or, worse, have to open a browser each time I want to check/write emails.

is it correct that Thunderbird has marked as Linux in Gmail authorized devices?

And is it correct that now Thunderbird shows a window where I have to insert my gmail credentials in order to add/use the account?

I can't use Gmail in Thunderbird. I get the error "Login to server imap.googlemail.com with username failed" Gmail works on other devices, but not on my PC windows/10. I have set up a POP3 account with the same name and it works in Thunderbird, but my imap account will not accept my password. Keeps asking for new password. What can I do??

I was asked to sign in and when I used my password I got the following message:

Sending of password for user [edited] @athleticstrengthtraining.com did not succeed. Mail server pop.secureserver.net responded: Authentication failed.

I have tried to log in several times and continue to get this message. So I have not received my emails in a few weeks.

I have used for many years Java in Firefox to stream live a stock market app. In order to continue using that app I have to use now Microsoft Edge. I would prefer to continue using Firefox. Is there a solution?

I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox as the default browser on my Android phone. When I used Chrome, I received emails from advocacy groups asking me to petition my government representatives to take action on specific issues. If I agree, I am directed to a web page where a form is already filled out with my personal information because it remembers that I have taken action on some issue in the past. Obviously, my time is saved by not having to fill out the form each time. However, with Firefox some of these forms are not filled out, and when I tap on different fields, no drop-down menu appears with past entries. I’ve gone to Firefox’s Settings and see that “Autofill in Firefox” is on by default, so I don't know what else to do. This problem occurs on some web pages, not all. Please advise. Thank you.

Hey there, I have recently completely formatted my pc as it was kind of slow.I then reinstall Mozilla fore fox login as turn on sync and had to login to steam but as i was logging in i forgot password so i checked my passwords as it was saved in Mozilla fire fox previously but i didn't see any saved passwords not only form steam i didn't see a single password of different websites saved on it is there any way to get those passwords back (i had already made an account and saved passwords on it but after re-installation I login to my fire fox account and still see no passwords). A quick help will be very much appreciated

Hello, The firefox for android doesn't support Webrtc ,but firefoxbeta app of android supports webrtc.I think 3 years back firefox for android provides webrtc,after many updates the important security feature is disabled making it is a unsecure browser such as google chrome.Now even android opera app supports webrtc.why this happens.

In my cfg file for firefox i use a custom DNS server (Quad 9 which uses 9.9.9.9). It appears this causes DNS Leaks while using a VPN.

The line is this: lockPref("network.trr.uri", "https://dns.quad9.net/dns-query"); Obviously instead of writing 9.9.9.9 this line uses the above shown adress.

If i want to use cloudflare which is 1.1.1.1 instead of 9.9.9.9 what adress do i have to use? Still haven't figured this out...

I am unable to remember my Firefox account password after re imaging my computer. Fortunately, I did create and save my recovery keys.

I've reviewed the following article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-your-firefox-account-password-recovery-keys

However, when I click the pass reset link in the email as dictated in step 2 under the 'Reset your password with your recovery keys' section, I do not see any fields to enter my recovery key as highlighted in step 3. I haven't taken this step yet because I do not want to lose my password and bookmark information associated to my account.

Can you please confirm how to utilize my recovery codes?

help needed to stop firefox from cancelling the consent (tick box) for providing my logins and password details automatically when required. the tick keeps being removed from my "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" when I close firefox. How do I fix it please...

2 step verification can not turn off I have been working on this problem for days read help files you tube video asked our administrator 2 step is turned off for the whole company. It is affecting only one of my 4 computers. The setup will not show a button to turn it on or off and no pop up ever. Firefox and Chrome same problem.

I follow the instructions for setting a Primary Password (which is constantly being asked for!), but the page turns hazy and unaccessable when I click on the 3 dots and I never get to Options. What do I have to do now?

I have 3 thunderbird accounts ..2 of them connect fine to online gmail,,,,however the 3rd is getting invalid password messages.... I have reset the password in gmail and likewise in Thunderbird...but it is not connecting any ideas?
