I've been using Thunderbird for a long time. I use a Win 10 machine with the latest version of Thunderbird. There are 5 email accounts attached to Thunderbird. When writing email I am suddenly unable to use numbering, bullets, or indents on 3 of the 5 accounts. After throwing up my hands in desperation I uninstalled Thunderbird (after saving the Profile folder), downloaded the latest version and reinstalled it. Same problem.

I posted about this about a week ago and the consensus seemed to be that this could not happen. But it is. I would really appreciate some help on this.

On 22/7/22 I used my laptop in hospital using their WiFi I only mention this as it was on this date when I opened Thunderbird that I realised I had lost all my emails from the inbox except for the most recent, so there were only four messages currently showing. I checked all folders Junk/Trash etc but there was nothing to be found. There is one email from January 2020 that remains in the inbox but it was not highlighted or starred so I have no idea why that one should remain when hundreds of others have been deleted. Is there any way to find these messages as some of them are really important and relate to financial matters. I really hope someone can help me. It was suggested that Avast anti virus may be responsible but I have contacted Avast and they say it has nothing to do with Avast. Regards Alex

I am still trying to recover lost emails from my inbox. I contacted Avast as it was suggested the anti virus program might be responsible but they insist it has nothing to do with them. I can not find a contact telephone number for Thunderbird support in Australia so am trying this forum again in the hope someone can tell me if I can recover these lost emails. I tried instructions from one website but after finding the Local folder in Account settings the options described in the instructions did not match what was available to me so I was not able to go any further. I am considering trying 'Easeus' which is a free download that claims to fix this kind of problem and gets quite good reviews, I am just concerned that I'll hit a brick wall again if the tabs or options in a particular file don't match the instructions as that leaves me nowhere to go. I even allowed a local computure guru remote access to my laptop but he couldn't work out where the missing emails were which is very concerning as I had hoped he had seen this kind of problem before as there are so many articles on line about missing emails with Thunderbird. I hope someone can offer some suggestions. Cheers Alex

My Thunderbird is completely updated. Since July I have found it impossible to consistently send emails. I checked my outgoing settings and they are fine. I have no anti-virus (I'm using a Mac). When I turn off the firewall, I can send one email out, sometimes two, then they will no longer go out. I tried deleting Thunderbird from the firewall, then adding it again. Nothing doing. This occurs with both email addresses I use.

Should I remove Thunderbird from my computer and start over? Or is it a lost cause?

windows 10 thunderbird 102 does not work for me..........authentication error for gmail.........hve tried many times. reverted to thunderbird 91.10..........no problem.......works perfectly. copy/paste password etc for TH102 so no errors.

Firefox is literally the worst browser now, im so sick of opening a new tab and seeing all these woke ass news on the homepage/ads. uninstalling this total piece of trash, if you use firefox you are [derogatory]

Once you get the DATE written correctly THEN you can hope to fix the multitude of aberrations in this confused so-called feedback loop. with frequency set at a rate which is adjustable. D. I LOST all my data stored in the various TABS because on reboot (on the mac air), the Firefox (102) changed to a later version (103) and LOST all my Tab information and History!!

As I am not a typical American pervert who is ashamed of looking at various sites and thus is afraid of someone finding out what he has viewed: I do NOT need to erase History. WHY would anyone wish to erase all the evidence of the work they have spent the day doing? I NEVER erase history as I wish to keep a record of the various methods I have used in educating the uninformed, so that we ALL at some point can become enlightened. THUS, the clear DATE (WHICH INCLUDES TIME!!!) should show the very second that I logged on to each particular address. It is hence SIMPLE to see where we have wasted most of our time and therefore LEARN to avoid those sites (typically American) in future, since they have a common SOURCE (USA land where most people live in wooden huts yet use the most resources).

Now, set that in front of your team of experts around the globe to play with for the next year and come back when you have got the BASICS right!!! Clearly almost an hour spent on trying to educate at least ONE individual (who perhaps reads this), just one hour of thousands of hours I have spent seeking to get the message across for the past thirty years. I am pleading out for desperate help ever since 2019 my Enterprise and on saints Media group which consisted of close to 100 pages in groups and oh well over a hundred email accounts we're all stolen they're all stolen by big tech meaning Google Facebook Microsoft Sprint and others they've had me for a year I was not able to do anything online they've had me blocked from everything I'm begging for help I swear to God if you go out of my GitHub and I'm saying it's me to group there's several different pages where I'm asking for help on there too when I was able to get on they've changed their stolen everything please help me please I don't know what more to do I've got a bunch of screenshots and screen recordings video recordings but I don't know what's still there because they have access to everything they see everything I do they listen to everything that I do literally everything it is your worst nightmare I've gone through it for 3 years now almost four please help me please I haven't had a phone number since December they stole my phone number. 303821 that number is the confirmation code for that I got for you guys checking to see if I was getting into my email account yes I got them at number but that was not me getting into my email account when you asked

I running Windows11 on a new HP laptop. Out of blue, I am unable to send any picture files attached to my emails. There is no problem sending *.pdf or *.doc files but *.jpg, *gif and *.png files are rejected due to "suspected spam" (is what the messge reads).

I've tried different platforms, e.g., iPhone, and windows laptop, and different email accounts. My email provider, Hughes, tells me it must be the particular files, however it is doubtful that my entire collection of family pictures are somehow now spam. I have scanned my entire hard drive for malware, virus and the usual (Kasperky Plus) and it comes up clean, no issues.

I have disabled the email protection on my email to no affect. Picture files are still rejected.

I have tried two different email accounts; Mozilla Thunderbird and Protonmail. Both accounts will not send the picture file attachments, but as mentioned will send other file attachments.

Any suggestions?
