I have Windows 11 and Firefox 124.0.2. Firefox keeps asking to reinstall. I think it is because I keep getting the message that it fails to check for updates. I don't know if I have installed the Microsoft Firefox or the direct Mozilla Firefox downloaded. Maybe that is the problem, but I am not tech savvy. I have used Firefox for many years and like it. I am also too old (83) to deal with these problems. Help!

something apparently got corrupted in firefox.. i tried running update and i keep getting failed to update.. i have refreshed.. i have uninstalled and reinstalled ...nothing. i am sure there is a folder or file somewhere that is corrupted and i cannnot find it. because even when i uninstall and reinstall fresh. all my bookmarks are there .. how to i start a TRUE NEW install??

I have been using Firefox as my primary browser for a very long time. Now, every time I start Firefox, I get a message that the update failed, and that I should manually download the update file and run it. I do so, the update appears to work, and Firefox behaves, until I stop it and restart again. Then I get the same message. I looked online - it appears that others have had this problem, but no clear solution. I am not willing to use Edge, but am beginning to wonder if it is time to leave Firefox. WIndows 11 64, AMD processor, 64 GB ram. Connected via ethernet and fiber. NordVPN, and Bitdefender (neither of which has produced any error messages).

I have Firefox 124.0.2 running on Windows 11. For some reason, I can't update Firefox. When I manually download the update file, it appears to run Ok, but the version doesn't change. If I go to settings and click on "Check for Updates" is comes back and says Failed to Check for Updates. How do I fix this?

I have been getting the "new version available, download now nag for over 2 weeks, and I have the latest version. Still get this issue repeatedly every day. Starting to become an every hour nag to update and install latest version of Firefox. Refuse to use Microsoft Edge or Chrome, and will switch off Firefox too if not rectified.

Firefox keeps reminding me that updates are available. I download and it says its installing but it doesn't seem to update. I have tried closing Firefox before running the installation but it makes no difference. I am on 125.02 at the moment.

Web cam image on web page stopped working after last update. Using win 11. Tried refresh, worked last time but not this time, checked permission security settings. Can get the camera image on a tablet but not laptop. (lenovo) Anything I might have missed?

I have Screwfix.com as a bookmark in my Firefox browser(default) and have recently found that I am unable to log in to Screwfix.

Screwfix tell me that I should be able to log in using Microsoft Edge (I can) but I prefer Firefox!

Can you sort this out for me please?

I've been trying to delete cookies and site data multiple times and it will not delete, even after multiple attempts to fix it. Such as deleting Mozilla folder in file explorer and downloading an extension to delete cookies and cache. Everything else gets deleted fine except for 2 sites.

After accidentally cutting power to my pc, Firefox has been crashing upon start. I've tried using Troubleshoot Mode, refreshing, reinstalling, and even manually deleting all my user data, but nothing has worked. These crashes do not appear in the crash logs, and happen instantly upon opening the program.

Oddly enough, using task manager to restart Windows Explorer stops the crashing, at least for thirty or so seconds (this is how I was able to try Troubleshoot Mode, as well as accessing logs). I have no idea why this is, nor if it's useful information.

When opening a new website when a window is already opened I want Mozilla to add a tab and not create an entirely new window. How do I change this feature which presumably is in "settings".

For System Administrative reasons, I want to disable automatic Firefox updates. Firefox can ask me if I want to install an update, but I get to choose whether or not to update.

I'm encountering an issue with accessing my website, www.mobilepackages.in. When I try to access it using the HTTP protocol (http://), the website doesn't appear. However, when I use the HTTPS protocol (https://), the website shows up without any problems. What could be causing this discrepancy? Hello there, Iam facing a problem with changing Firefox homepage background. I tried every solution, tutorial, oldposts etc. nothing seems to work, here is what I tried. -1- The chrome folder is in the right folder. -2- the naming of both CSS files userChrome, userContent. -3- enabled CSS files at startup -4- search for both CSS files in the browser toolbox for some reason I cannot find both CSS files, even though they are in the chrome directory. Also, I have 2 chrome folders one of them is located here. "AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\shaf5qn0.default-release\storage\permanent\chrome" the other one I created myself which is here "AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\shaf5qn0.default-release\chrome" I tried to delete the first one but I cant, I get an error that this file is being used even though I did close Firefox. What I am missing here?

I am using Firefox v125.0.2. When I open a PDF in Firefox it takes a lot of time to load. But, when the same PDF opened in the Edge browser it loads normally and scrolling through PDF pages renders fast. I have shared the screenshot of a single-page pdf loading taking quite a long time.

Could someone please help me with this.

is there any Collections where category wise someone can save web sites ?

Presently, I do not find any. Hence, i am using Pocket and keeping there creating Lists, but it is not so cosy kind, Shall request Firefox team to create Collections in Firefox on windows 11
