Hi, 3 weeks ago I suddenly could not log in to my email without errors.

First I get a Google screen "Choose an account" showing the three Gmail accounts I use. I select the first one.

"Mozilla Thunderbird wants to access your Google Account". This refers to calendars. I take the Allow option.

Then I get the message "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Thunderbird detected a potential security threat and did not continue to localhost. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details."

When I close this window I get another Google screen .

This process cycles through the other two emails. Then I get and authentication failure message.

I have seen hints that this might be a certificate issue but I have tried in vain to find certificates stored in Thunderbird.

I just lost several hundred tabs on Firefox mobile right after it updated itself. The most recent tabs show only ten of those tabs, which were all opened and closed today and aren't part of what I need to restore.

How do I get my tabs back? I've seen no 'restore previous session' option. My laptop only shows the few I have open now. What do I do to restore them?

Hey, I have been trying to figure out native Firefox solution for deleting firefox history after it's set number of days old. I did found solutions for older verions of firefox, and some addons, but nothing that's native or current.

I think having history is incredibly useful short term, lets say a week or some days, but I don't think I have ever had to dig trough my old history for something. Usually what you need is to find some page you closed recently or something. And while I would like to use deleting history after closing browser, it interferes with stuff that I'm logged in, reopening tabs after closing etc. And ofc, it actually deletes history which is useful short term.

This is both request for help and improvement. It would be nice to have option on "clear history when firefox closes" settings, to delete any selected data older than set number of days for instance. Or if there already isn't, something similar in about:config.

My wife & I have the same PCs running Windows 10 & Thunderbird 115.11.0 (32bit).

We have a hosted web-site that also supports email, and we each have an email account (eg neddy@goon.com.au & minnie@goon.com.au). I've checked that both our POP server configurations are identical but despite that about once a week minnie@goon.com.au receives a warning to add security exception but neddy doesn't. This started happening two weeks ago after a years error free running.

The host has checked that goon.com.au has a valid SSL certificate, so what could be causing the discrepancy and how do I set about fixing it please?

Firefox's DNS over HTTPS is preventing my access to 2 websites I've used for years for booking golf tee times. The 2 sites are www.roosterrun.com and www.windsorgolf.com. I want to remove this feature and return my PC to it's previous settings. Please help. John Blevins bold text

Hello, I am using Firefox for my company. We are using Quickbase system to access the data from internal server. Previously, I can allow Firefox to show the image that classified as unsecured context. I could see the setting option to allow unsecured pictures. But now I changed my account on my computer and when I use firefox, I can not see the image file from server and also I can not find how to allow unsecure picture. Is there way to set to allow unsecure stuff from Firefox? Please let me know.

I am trying to remove the mobilisearch.com virus from my Firefox browser. I have tried a reset and have also tried the Zemana virus removal tool. Neither have worked. Any suggestions please

I have an issue trying to configure a secondary email account, for a non-profit I do some work for. It was ok in the past, though I recall was tricky to set up on TB a couple of years ago. But now it has ceased to function after I migrated TB profile (successfully apart from this issue) no matter what I try. I’d be grateful for any suggestions. As is the case with many non-profits, there’s little tech support, but others can use the email account ok. I think it may be a TB issue as I have been able to set up the account ok with MS new Windows Outlook app (lame, but better than Mail…low bar). I’d rather have this account on my TB client along with the others I use. And the issue is replicated on two of my PCs. TB account set up reports “can’t detect settings from host server”. I found a support thread link text, which says “The failure to detect settings is rather common where hosted domains are concerned. Mostly because everything is done to a price and most of the things around encryption are done in a halfhearted manner. As is the server setups for mail. However by faithfully copying the settings from the provider as to domains server name and ports it should work.” So I did manual configuration – copied the settings from the successful Outlook set up, but no dice – all I get is server time out message. Settings are: IMAP server: mail.XXXX.org.uk Port 993 Security SSL/TLS [earlier working settings were STARTTLS port 143] SMTP server: mail.XXXX.org.uk Port 465 Security SSL/TLS [[earlier working settings were STARTTLS port 587] And using Normal Password for both; I tried Autodetect too but no good. I’ve see a suggestion that turning off the firewall (Norton) might work, but I’m reluctant to do that and doesn’t seem to make sense that would cause the issue. 'I added http websites as exceptions to the https security feature but Firefox won't let me get in them. One is my health care portal. I've tried everything and re-done the process several times, but I have to go to a different browser to get in. What do I do? Thank you.

Hello, I have an odd situation. I have a new job, and want to sign into Firefox at work to sync my bookmarks and settings. The problem is that I seem to have saved the password wrong. My home laptop is working great as long as I don't sign out, but the system won't let me change my password without the old one. Is there any way to reset the password without having all my stuff wiped? Or can I do a backup on my home PC first, then do a reset/wipe, then restore? Thanks.

I just accidentally deleted my account and i just can't remember my password but i don't want to reset my password because my data could be deleted and i have no backups and no other way to get my account back besides resetting my password

Thunderbird refuses to connect to Gmail with password. Fresh install of Thunderbird. New password (triple verified I'm using the same password) OAuth2 enabled Gmail account entered correctly, Thunderbird contacts Gmail, secondary authentication text sent and verified, refuses to connect.

Outlook Office 365 - works gmail.com - works Thunderbird - "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password"

One of my two gmail accouns has suddenly become impossible to access (cannot receive, cannot send). T'Bird produces an Authentication has Failed notification, after a Google Window headed "Sign in to Mozilla Thunderbird Email" which refuses to go away. Clicking on the 'help' or 'privacy' options in that google window produces no more than a blank window but then "Sign in to Mozilla Thunderbird Email" reappears a few minutes later. My other gmail account doesn't have this problem, so I assume it's not gmail but it's T'Bird.

What's going on?

(BTW signing into this Support resulted in an email "New sign-in to Mozilla Support" warning "New sign-in to Mozilla Support to Firefox on Windows 10". Trouble is, I'm on Windows 11. Trivial maybe, but telling maybe.)
