There's a good bit of wisdom in the old expression, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." You could cut the number of updates by at least 50% if you'd only fix things that ARE "broke," And, every time you update FF, it causes another set of problems that I have to fix. The latest is an add-on called "offer mosquito" that's automatically added to my list of add-ons. I remove it --not disable, REMOVE-- the next time I reboot it's back. I'm growing just a wee tad weary of doing this...How do I get rid of it for good???

Using FF 25.0 on PC running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

hello Goodolgal, the behaviour you've described is not caused by any firefox update but by adware/malware on your pc. please run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner.

Thanks for the reply...I have--and regularly run--Malwarebyts Pro...also have Bitdefender. I usually just run a quickscan, but will run a full scan overnight tonight today to see if that fixes it. If not, I'll be back!  :)

Thanks again!

Thanks for all the replies...Philipp's fixed it before trying any other suggestions, so I don't know if any others worked!
