Starting Firefox, a template asks for MasterPassWord. But, while putting in by keystrokes, there suddenly appears the same but empty template again. Looking carefully to control your keystrokes, you are not aware that your incomplete PassWord is taken, resulting in an error and causing another empty template asking for the MPW. Sometimes this happens repeatedly. This is really nasty because it slows down the entire procedure by useless repetitions. This happenes on all my PCs. Can you help me? uszww

Normally Firefox would only ask once for the Master Password.
If you get or expect multiple prompts then best is to wait a short while and only enter the Master Password in the last prompt and close others with the ESC key.

It ends up with a ridiculous procedure: If you are quick enough to complete your input "in time", the first prompt might be ok - but for sophisticated PWs your correct input requires keen attention rather than speed. In my case this does not work. Consequently I am "blessed" with boaring - often trunkated - repetitions. "Waiting a while" is no solution, for if you cancel the "wrong" empty template, the whole procedure starts again. According to the develloper's comment the "Startup Master" is either no solution since the desired security level is not achieved. There is no sufficient solution available, apparently. usz

Are you using multiple homepages on startup, with more than one page requiring username / password for login?
