hello mikeyone, on the new account screen choose manual setup and create a imap/smtp account. enter the appropriate account credentials and the server information that apple has made available here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864

thanks BUT the phone asks for username and hostname and i have no ideas what to put in there.

hostname = the server name from the apple support document and the username should be your @me.com mail address...

unfortunately i don't have an apple account myself, so i could only try it with fake credentials - the error message i'm getting is "invalid username or password. check for typos", though i'm not sure if there isn't another type of error when you can provide correct credentials. please also make sure that you have internet connection during the setup...

this is not helping. But I guess the reason is that at the mail settings in firefox os we are not able to set "tls" as security setting. Only ssl or starttls.
