firefox somehow changed my mac's master password, now i cannot use my masterpassword anymore. can i somehow override my screw up?

i've tried the password i reset it to, to no avail. i cannot alter the master password settting in my mac os prefereces anymore. I'm afraid to shut it off now.

Firefox can't change passwords, it don't have that kind of power. Which password are you meaning, Firefox's master Password, or Your computer's password?

Firefox's Master Password -- used to secure passwords you've saved in Firefox -- shouldn't be connected to your Mac's password(s). Unless Firefox works very differently on Mac than on Windows.
