Thanks for using the new Firefox for android! Unfortunately, the Amazon app store requires that Firefox include additional software to be in the Amazon app store. So, we removed it from the store until we can resolve the issue.

So, we do officially support Kindle Fire, but we need to resolve the problem with the app store before we make it available there.

Thanks for the response. It would be nice if you provided a link to the .apk file. However, I guess that might make the Google-gods angry :-)

It's interesting that there is no mention of compatibility with Kindle Fire, pro or con. I have made Firefox my default browser on Kindle Fire just as I do with my desktop.

For the record, I have installed Firefox on my Kindle Fire, and it is SO much better than Silk! Install and enjoy!
