Why after upgrading to FF 11.0 , thereafter when I open Firefox, it opens 14-17 additonal Firefox windows ?

The only other thing I notice is that it is opening urls that I had accessed in the recent past. It would be helpful it you would include a bullet point list of the 'the more information' that you would like. For instance does it matter what kind of system firefox is running on, or what OS, or what extensions are installed, etc.

P.S. Having moved through the page I see below that my guesses have automaticly been added.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
