That message is listed in two scripts on the bank's site. One function that can display the message is named PhotoRotator and the other is named PromoRotator. However, I can't seem to trigger the error myself.

If you have any add-ons that alter the page, such as ad blockers, try creating an exception for these sites and see whether that helps:

I cleared the cache on the computer and it fixed the problem. Don't quite understand why clearing the cache fixed it though.

That was a great idea. The reason it often helps to clear the cache is that when sites update their scripts and styles, Firefox doesn't always get the message and will use an out-of-date script or style file from the cache. Usually it's not a big deal, but it sometimes causes random glitches that no one else can reproduce.

In cases like this you can also try as a first step to reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.

  • Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
