Not sure if this is the right choice to put this but every time I reboot my machine in the registry is the following: lHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies there is Firefox entry that I delete every time. I have googled this up regarding "this is your organization" some words to that effect and would love it if some member here has the answer of getting rid of this for good. I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Enterprise with a digital license. I've always used Firefox since it first came out since I'm 74 and have been around with computers since 1988 well before the Internet was even born. Enough about me. I'm pleading that some member knows how to get rid of this for Good and on that note thank you reading this and be safe and hopefully in good health.

Cheers, Jan

What security software do you have as it is a possible/likely cause of importing root certificates?

Seeing the "Your browser is being managed by your organization" notification at the top of the Settings page can be caused by (security) software that uses GPO policy rules or uses a policies.json file in the distribution folder in the profile folder to inject their root certificate in Firefox in Firefox to be able to hook into your internet connection (ImportEnterpriseRoots) to prevent getting a connection not trusted error message.

You can click the "Your browser is being managed by your organization" notification or open the about:policies page to see if policies are active and if errors are reported.

Regarding your active policies there were two active 1.security.certerrors.mitm.auto_enable_enterprise_roots 2.security.enterprise_roots.enabled Now I disabled them to false but I'm guessing they won't stay that way. I rebooted my PC and found this again per usual on a reboot. \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\Certificates

Regarding Anti Virus programs I'm using Avast Premium Security but I didn't even have Web Shield installed so I installed and unchecked Enable HTTPS Scanning but again another reboot and in my registry was the same thing as I've put in the last just above. Had to delete it again. Personally I hate Avast but since my son had bought a 2 year subscription he was allowed to give me a legit key. It expires thank goodness in early Nov 2024 but that is not soon enough for me. I really appreciate your time and your help but in the end for me it would appear that nothing is stopping it on each reboot.Funny thing is when I first turn on my PC I go tor the registry expecting to find the last line in first paragraph but its not there. It seems to come back after any rebooting only? Is their a group policy where it maybe hidden and if so how do I find it via group policy. Thank you again for all your input with my deepest appreciation.
