Is FireFox secure and does FIreFox protect my identity
I needed to leae a Google review for a friend. When I opened a third tab and started typing Google the following FireFox suggestions appeared (see attached screen print) showing a Google slide show of a friend who passed nine years ago. How is it that this came up on my computer? I have NEVER searched for this using this unit nor have I ever downloaded the link. So my question is "Just how secure IS FIreFox?" "How is it possible that Google knows this computer and its owner?" "And given that I use a Norton VPN it further exasperates my concern."

The suggestion is a bookmark (indicated by the blue star), you might have imported your bookmarks from a different browser at some point. If you signed into your sync account, it might have come from a different device.
That is not the case here. I have never imported bookmarks from a previous unit to this present unit. I have gone through current bookmarks and cannot locate an existing bookmark for the link. IF the bookmark was deleted at some point then why isn't it off the hard drive?
Onboarding can import bookmarks automatically in some cases.
Open the sidebar (Ctrl+B) and search for the bookmark there.
Sign out of any sync account to avoid interference.
Go to about:support in the address bar, scroll down to the "Places Database" heading, click the "Verify Integrity" button, wait for it to complete and then restart the browser.
Deleted bookmarks can still persist on the hard drive in the "bookmarkbackups" folder but should not be searchable from the address bar.
