Application is buggy and unstable on iPadOS

Firefox used to be my go to browser in all my devices. But since the latest updates, it has been buggy and slow to the point of not being an option anymore. I have seen that there are many reviews in the AppStore pointing to this, but seems that they go unnoticed. And the fact that you have to actually go through a series of hops to get support is unbearable. There are many examples of how the application’s performance has been degraded: - when switching to another app (i.e. notepad) and then coming back, it freezes for some 20 seconds before it crashes altogether - when opening a new tab, if you want to access the menu (some call it the “burger” menu on the upper right corner), the app takes almost a full minute before displaying it. - sometimes even opening a new tab, it takes forever to respond to the keyboard entry.

Hopefully in some future versions all these issues get fixed but for now, it has been a total buggy experience.

Hi there,

You might get hit by this bug. Our team is still working on a fix for this. I'm hopeful this will be out in the next release, so please keep an eye on our updates.

Unfortunately this may address only one of the issues I mentioned, which is concerning because the other two may not even be in the radar (although they have been lingering for a while), confirming the degraded performance of the app.

I'm afraid the other issues are interconnected to the crash that I mentioned (but I can be wrong too).

Have you tried re-install the app altogether?

I have found the culprit of the sloweness being due to having some tabs opened in private mode. When I closed them, the app response to open new tabs in "normal" mode was faster.
