[v56+] Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address box. Under fonts and colors, press the Advanced button. Scroll to the bottom, turn on Allow Web Sites To Choose Their Own.

Make sure you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the OS settings.

Thanks for the response. I went there and that box was already checked. Oddly enough it seems to only happen if the window is full sized. If I shrink it, the letters are ok. Im not sure how to check for the high contrast setting in the OS. But I probably didnt change anything like that --intentionally anyway.
