Sending tabs from Firefox on Android to Firefox on Desktop usually not working

The subject says it all. The desktop target browser is usually open. Sometimes, but rarely, the tabs will appear as brief Windows notifications on the desktop, a long time after I sent them.

That sounds a bit strange - for me, the send tab is almost instant.

Are you sending the tab over wi-fi or mobile data?

I've just tried sending the same set of tabs while the android and desktop FFs were on the same WLAN and it did work instantly, for the first time in a long time. However, I'm usually trying to send them when the android FF is on the mobile network.

(I'm also not sure if the desktop FF syncs all my passwords properly with the android devices, but that's another story that I haven't had the patience to investigate in detail.)

It would be expected to be much quicker over wi-fi than mobile data, especially if there are many bookmarks or passwords.
