Android 10&11 / (Enpass) Autofill not showing up (correctly)

I have some troubles with my POCO F2 Pro running Android 11 with MIUI 12.2.4 (old: Android 10 with MIUI 12.0.3) in Firefox & Enpass Autofill. Firefox Version: 84.1.4 Enpass Version: 6.6.1.449
On e.g. Chrome everything seems wo be working fine (not using Chrome normally at all). In Firefox the on e.g. a login form the "Fill in with Enpass" (translated from german "Mit Empass autom. eintragen") popup below the username or password field isn't showing up the first time I touch/click into the field. If I now switch to the password field and back again after 2-3 times the "Fill in with Enpass" popup is shown for around 1 second and disappears again. If I now continue to switch between both fields (select username, password, username, ...) for another 10-15 times the "Fill in with Enpass" popup shows up and also stays visible so I can click it.
Does anyone have the same issue?
I already posted the question in the Enpass Forum and the support staff commented: "Thanks for the patience. We have tested the issue in our working environment and this issue is not from our side. It's web browser behavior and its creating same problem in other password manager. "
It did work in the "old" firefox version before the major update (don't know the name/version - the one that was in the news everywhere) and maybe in the first versions after the major update. Since Enpass & Firefox got updates quite at the same time, I first thought Enpass is the issue.

Hi
The new Firefox for Android is very different to the old one and as with othe roassword managers, it is down to that app or service to make sure they work on our new browser.
We do make Nightly and Beta versions available so that other apps and services can test and make changes as required.

Thanks for your reply. I will ask the Enpass Support again. Hopefully there will be a solution for this issue. If not, I will either switch to chrome or choose a different password manager that works with firefox.

Hi,
Enpass is browser agnostic and implements Android auto-fill framework properly as it works with other browsers well. In Firefox browser, the Enpass auto-fill pop-up is blinking continuously. It seems that Firefox emits the Window content changed event or similar after showing the auto-fill pop-up. So, auto-fill frame work hides the pop-up and start the process again causing pop-up blink.
Same behavior can be observed with other password managers too.

I experience this same behavior with KeePass2android. If I tap back and forth with the fields enough I can usually get it to leave the dialog on the screen so I can tap to fill from the app. Of course, it sometimes doesn't fill the first time and so I have to do the tap back and forth dance a bit more and then it works. Very frustrating!
I've used KeePass2Android for years and never had a problem, even after switching to the new Firefox. I don't know when exactly it started since I just put up with it, but finally got annoyed enough to do some investigation which lead to this report.

Oh thanks. So I'm not the only one with Enpass or another password manager! - I thought again about it quite some time and I think it started around the 20.12.2020 - 05.01.2021. So the new firefox was already released since months and I used it successfully with enpass.
I'm using Firefox with enpass. Still the same issue. "Autofill with Enpass" appears and disappears. Every single other browser or app works fine, just firefox that has issues. Not every time, but most of the time.
Hi, I'm using Passwords for Nextcloud and am trying to switch from Chrome to Firefox but the android Autofill function is having the same issues as described by others here. It works fine in Chrome and other apps. Further, when I actually manage to press the Autofill button. The Passwords app suggests only the Firefox username and password for the Autofill. In Chrome, I always got a suggestion for the site I was browsing rather than the browser itself. It seems like Firefox is not sending the URL of the browsed site correctly.
I just checked the nightly build. There the overlay works. But it still seems to ask the password manager for a site called "Firefox Nightly" regardless of which site I'm on. In Chrome when browsing the same site (GitHub) it asks the password manager for "github.com"
