Cannot log in to Faxcebook with Firefox 76 or with Edge

I have my emails on Outlook with a button to log on to Facebook. When I press the button I get a message saying that something went wrong with redirect, it may be that you have disabled cookies. (Logging in with Firefox) When I try to login with Edge, I just get locked into a continuous loop. I have read a lot about this over the last month, but anything I try doesn't make any difference, plus I don't understand many of the tech terms. I have been using computers for over 30 years, but my knowledge is restricted to my own limited areas of interest. Any help would be appreciated. Chris

You can try by opening Firefox in Safe Mode.

To start Mozilla Firefox in Safe Mode, follow the steps below.

  • Find the Firefox icon or click Start and type Firefox.
  • Hold down the Shift key on the keyboard and then click the Firefox icon.
  • In the Firefox Safe Mode window, click the Start in Safe Mode option.

or you can try reset Firefox to the default settings if you're using a Windows computer:

  • Click the menu icon, then click on “Help”. Click on Firefox's main menu button, represented by three horizontal lines.
  • Click “Troubleshooting Information”.
  • Click on “Refresh Firefox”.
  • Confirm.
  • Click “Finish”.

Dear Shashank Shekhar,

Thank you for your help and advice. I have tried both of your suggestions, and the end result is much the same. I can load my site, but when I seek to login to be able to use it, I get a message advising that I am required to enable cookies. I have deleted cookies and cache from Firefox, and in options, I have enabled cookies.

Is there something else I might try. (Also, had a 'scammer' pretending to represent facebook, offering to facilitate facebook login 'in one click'.
