your organizion has diabled the ability to change some options
i have the firefox quantum version 67.0.1 (64 bit). this is on my options page on the home screen. how can i fix this problem. i want to change options and it will not let me. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume this is a personal installation, not managed by an IT department, so that message is unexpected.
Two initial questions:
(1) Could you type or paste the following address into the address bar and press Enter to load it: about:policies
In the "Active" list, does the page list any policies?
(2) Do you use Avast, AVG, or other security software that might touch Firefox settings?

Hi sweepea, that setting relates to whether Firefox uses its own certificate store to verify website certificates, or the Windows certificate store. So that specific policy shouldn't restrict you from changing other settings. Is there another one that seems to be locked out -- what was it that you wanted to change?
Are you possibly using Avast security software?
Avast or other security software might be using this to inject its certificate in Firefox.
