So I have taken to using website shortcuts instead of installing apps. There are two ways to do so In Firefox for Android.

1). The primary way to do this is:

      > Menu
      > Page
      > Add Page Shortcut

2). However, some websites, Twitter for example offer a small 'house icon' in the URL window. When clicked, this

gives the option to 'Add to Home Screen'.

Can anyone advise on the functional difference between the two options? What I have noticed is: 1. The former tends to add a more rudimentary icon to the home screen.

Upon clicking the link, it opens a new tab.

2. The latter tends to add a more visually pleasing (almost app like) icon. Upon clicking, it opens the site in a

separate window. This window doesn't seem to operate like the full Firefox browser.
