why is firefox dowloading word documents as PDF files?
I used to download all files as word documents. My computer downloaded new updates, and is now downloading EVERY document as a PDF. I do not have adobe and cannot access any files. This happening with every file, including word files!
Please help!! I've changed every setting I can and can't fix it. I'm ready to uninstall firefox and use chrome instead.

Hi, no idea why can not see them as Firefox as a built in PDF Reader or why it is downloading them as that. Please try this as is a mild fix (if works) and about 7mins : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.2 with a Full Version Installer
Separate Security issue : Please uninstall Flash 14.0 r0 as has 100's of security issues and is so old please use this by Right Click and Run as Administer once have downloaded it.
