This is an app permission setting in Android settings. Go to your Android settings menu, select "Apps", find Firefox, select Permissions, and enable access to storage. I think this is pretty standard across different versions and distributions of Android, but it's possible the option might not be in the exact same place on some or have different labels for the settings menus.
If your Android is too different from mine to be able to follow the above, try a web search for "change app permissions on" plus your device model; there are probably already guides taking you through the exact menus for your device.
