Often when browsing I find that when i want to use spacebar it does something i don't want it to do, which is advance the page downwards, like the "page down" button. I'd like to change that to something else, like maybe the page down key. Thanks.

When downloading files, FF opens a window to file manager. The window enables user to choose the download directory. But the window extends past the right side of the monitor, thus the "save" button is not displayed. Thus, files cannot be saved.

I started using Linux Mint a few months ago, and since then have had issues with opening Firefox on startup. The attached image shows roughly what Firefox does the first time I try to open it after starting my computer. I usually have to close and re-open it 5-10 times before it will launch properly. At this point, I usually manually recover my previous session. Does anybody know of a potential fix to this problem? I have tried updating Firefox and have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

I lost my arrows on my scrollbar again after an update early last month. I tried adding lines to the gtk.css config files with no success unlike I've been successful doing in the past. It appears they are gone forever unless I can find another way to get them back. I noticed that the scrollbar arrows are gone on only Firefox and Thunderbird. As mentioned, this has happened in the past after some updates but in the past I was able to edit the gtk.css files in both gtk-2.0 and gtk-3.0 to get them back. Is there anything else I can try. I'm using the latest version of Ubuntu (Pop OS to be specific) and the arrows to the scrollbars disappeared around April 2nd for both Firefox and Thunderbird. I didn't notice any other applications where the arrows to the scrollbars disappeared. Is there something else I can try and a way to prevent this from happening in the future. This seems to be a common problem that happens every time there is an update.

Hi team, Can you explain me how exactly firefox sync works? asking because I thought by syncing it will save all the bookmarks with my account and I can use the same account to bring back all the bookmarks on another device.

I created an account on linux dual booted with windows and synced all the things I saved on firefox. Recently I switched to pop os and logged in using the same account. Expecting to see all the bookmarks on here too. But unfortunately it didn't worked. And all my bookmarks are gone. Is there any way I can recover those data?

Hello there to all.. I have been experiencing occasional crashes on the tab when left idle for a while!! I am using Ubuntu linux 22.04 when this occurs..! In Windows 11 or even Windows 10 x64 pro this does not occur to my knowledge at all.. So I am wondering why this is happening only on ubuntu linux 22.04 and not anywhere else??.. Hello! I've been using Firefox as my daily driver web browser for at least a year, first on Windows and now more recently on Linux (specs below). The PC itself is the same, the only thing to change was the OS. Ever since moving to Linux, I've had this problem with crashing. I have two monitors and I will usually snap the browser to half of one screen while I do other things on the rest of my display space. However, most of the time when I try to drag the browser window off of its half of the screen, all of my Firefox windows crash, with an error message about not being able to send a crash report (see attached image). This has been happening with multiple browser versions, both the official repository release as well as the Flatpak. No other application has behaved like this.

System details: OS: Manjaro Linux x86_64 Kernel: 5.17.1-3-MANJARO x86_64 DE: Plasma 5.24.4 WM: KWin CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X Memory: 15982.8 MiB GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (amdgpu driver in use)

From what I understand firefox now supports subtitles in picture in picture mode but when I use it for youtube it doesn't work. I have enabled the captions in the advanced settings and I have tried it with all my addons disabled.

As the title says, Multi-Account containers doesn't detect the VPN, which means that it's not setting the VPN for specific containers.

I suspect this is actually a problem with the "Allow extension to exchange messages with programs other than Firefox" permission. Could be a VPN issue, but gut feeling that it's a Firefox issue, TBH

Anyone else seeing this?

Using Outlook web, when viewing pdf documents, it displays strange symbols (incorrect font sets are probably used).

I point out that using Chrome the problem does not arise.

I also installed the microsoft fonts thinking it might solve the problem I attach illustrative image.

I don't want the tabs + search bar to show when the mouse reaches the top of the screen while in full-screen mode, I have tried "userChrome.css" solution provided in this link "https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1092572", but it didn't work for me, I would appreciate any help, thank you.

Canonical transformed Ubuntu installation process from apt to snap. Unfortunately my FF 100 now is not able to load libetpksc11 module with message: module cannot be loaded.

I updated the operative system on my laptop but, when I opened Firefox and signed into my profile, it didn't import my old bookmarks, only the browsing history. Passwords and other data are all there, only the bookmarks are gone.

Is there a way to get them back?

Since I've upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 "Firefox" randomly started closing it's self without any crash report what so ever.

I've read some article on Ubuntu forums but I couldn't find any helpful information (Or they didn't work for me)

Please anyone help! I've been using Firefox all the time and has never crashed until the upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04

Hello, I was trying to fix this issue on my browser but I was not able to do it. The OS is Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS 64-bit. Currently, I'm using Firefox version 99.0a1 but I had the same issue on version 97. Also, I have this issue on only one of my PCs. As I said in the subject: - The browser freezes the whole PC and I have to force reboot it. (I already disabled the hardware acceleration) - the recent download item open button does not trigger the opening of the folder. - If I try to download a file, the browser ask me where to save it. But if I try to download another one the browser shows me the directory with path /run/usr/1000/... I tried to delete places.sqlite but I received the same result. ... Hello, I am using Firefox 100 on Arch Linux (5.17.6-arch1-1) with GNOME 42.1, and after recent updates i doesn't play any videos, it is buffering them, plays a frame and pauses.

1. I reinstalled firefox. 2. I cleaned cache && cookies. 3. I removed extensions.

Firefox only uses custom minimize/maximize buttons when I select show toolbar. When not selected, it seems to use the windows 10 window decoration. I am using arch linux with kde plasma and firefox 100. Is there any way for firefox to use the system wide minimize/maximize buttons
