after downloading FF 3.6.19 and restarting, why can I can no longer use airport.

I'm a Mac user running 10.4.1.1. I downloaded the Firefox upgrade, 3.6.19 and did a restart. Immediately afterword, I was no longer able to access the internet wirelessly. I can also no longer access my printer through my Verizon Fios router using the ethernet cable which I had previously been using. I am currently using an ethernet cable directly connected to the Verizon router. What happened?
