I am running xp and the last time I tried to upgrade to Firefox 5 it caused my computer to slow down become unstable and eventually my hard drive crashed.
However I do believe the hard drive had other issues that just might have been further compromised by downloading 5. Talked to a couple of others who have also had bad problems after downloading 5 and that is what really concerns me is that my problem is not isolated. I have just got my computer back up and running and am very concerned about continuing with the 5 upgrade that was automatically downloaded and will be installed the next time I start up. How do I prevent the download from installing upon start up next time until I can get some clearer info on why 5 is causing some problems and can avoid them?
