Some time ago I read a support question about malware, and flagged to receive any updates to that post. After about six months or so I decided those updates were not helping me any. I have been trying to turn that notification off ever since, with no detectable results.

The email notification gives me a link to follow, but when I follow the link I get:

Page cannot be found (404)

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

I tried to use some of the Firefox support facilities.

FWIW. Eventually I manually logged into mozilla's Firefox Support forums, and chased through my dashboard and supports search capabilities. I finally found the link (I think) to that post and turned off the notification flag.
