html code appears in body of emails in INBOX
Please tell me how to get rid of HTML code in incoming emails to my INBOX. I am using 102.8.0 and this problem started to appear in the last two or three updates. Yes, I have way too many emails (86K), but I am trying to clean them up now with this problem. The odd thing is that sometimes they contain headers/subjects from other emails that arrived before or after them. Luckily, the emails still appear as they should be in the Google email program. Is it possible I don't have enough extra memory anymore on my old PC? I tried changing the header and message settings, but it doesn't change anything because it doesn't happen to all the emails. Would appreciate any useful advice. Thank you!

right click, select properties and then the repair button. Disabling antivirus scanning in the Thunderbird profile folder will probably stop a re-occurrence.

Thank you, Matt! I found the repair function under the Edit menu and Folder Properties and took a chance. The "repair" took less than a second and now I can't find any emails with the HTML code in the body of a message. Funny thing is, before I did that, I had at least two full days worth of messages (@100) without the code in the body. Again, many thanks!
