Do you mean when Firefox is starting up and updating at that point? It shouldn't take more than a minute in my experience.
Any idea what version it is installing? The latest automatic update was a tiny patch released Monday, November 22, 2021. https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/releases/
If you had the download something yourself, hmm, be suspicious and check for malware: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.
