Printing issues since a few updates ago (2 main problems)
OK, sorry if I dont know all the technical jargon but here are a couple issues I have been having. Currently using FF88.0 on Windows 10 Home edition.
A few updates ago I noticed when I go to print a page from the internet (specifically eBay Order Details) it no longer prints the default auction picture as it appears on the screen but enlarges it up to the original download size. This make the shrink to fit option no longer work properly. So in order to get all of the information I need on one page of print I have to constantly change the size from 40-60% to make it work. Frustrating and time wasting.
Second issue: This one just started with the last update. I use a Rollo label printer and I had everything set up where it worked just fine. After the last update it prints half labels and I cant get it to adjust back properly. Huge issue and time waster.
On average I feel like this slows me down 15-30 minutes a day total.

I don't think I have quick access to those same screens where you are having problems, but I'll make a few suggestions.
(1) I have not heard of this before. Sites often do apply different styles to elements of a page in print view versus screen view, but this seems like a very dysfunctional change, if it's intentional. Does this problem appear on other eBay pages that would be publicly accessible?
(2) Is the half label a paper size problem? You can clear the detected paper size for your label printer as follows:
(a) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
(b) In the search box in the page, type or paste paper and pause while the list is filtered
Firefox should list one or more of these preferences for each printer (example printers, yours will have your actual label printer name):
- print.printer_PDFCreator.print_paper_data
- print.printer_Microsoft_Print_to_PDF.print_paper_id
- print.printer_Mozilla_Save_to_PDF.print_paper_name
To clear a saved value from a previous print job, you can click the trash can at the end of that row. The next time Firefox prints, it should re-retrieve the value set in the printer driver.
Does that make any difference?
Thanks for the reply. I have the label issue figured out and corrected now.
Let me do a little more tinkering on my end and see if i can come up with some visible examples.
I know this is going to sound crazy but my print preview is now just a blank page.....
For all sites? That's definitely wrong. Did the paper size get set to something ridiculous?
I dont think so. I hit print preview and it is blank. I click on print and then when available printers show up, I right click my main printer and it shows as letter size.
and if I print using a different program it works just fine.
Are you using the classic print experience with separate preview, setup, and print, or the new unified print experience where preview is an overlay in front of the tab with the settings on the right side?
Classic print preview I believe, opens a separate window. There is nothing on the right side, all commands are at the top.
