I love Firefox but my bank just stopped supporting Firefox, citing certificate changes made in Firefox v69. Those changes apparently made it impossible to install their new certificates... are they talking about the removed support for HTML keygen (#1)? They recommend Edge, Chrome or Safari instead.

I know you can't know what my bank is doing behind the scenes, but is there something Firefox can't do compared to Edge, Chrome or Safari, with regards to generating certificates? Or is my bank just lazy...

I don't like it when Firefox is not supported... :(

Thanks!

Hi greyguy, I'm very sorry about that. The first reply was a spammer. I've deactivated his forum account.

Would you be able to provide a web address for us to check? We can then search for any other reports regarding the site, and check for any known solutions.

I really don't think that Chrome or Edge supports this keygen feature.

@TyDraniu - Yeah, you're most likely right. Digicert.com says most browsers don't support the HTML Keygen feature.... so maybe my bank is just lazy. :(

@Chris Ilias - It's the Swedish bank Skandia (https://www.skandia.se/).
