Strange Speedtest Issues/Results

I have been getting some strange results using Firefox while running speed tests (speedtest.net). I have had my ISP out to check this issue. They replaced my modem, replaced all the lines in and out of the home, and ran tests on the lines and connections to and from my home. I have reinstalled my LAN drivers, swapped ethernet cables, deleted and reinstalled Firefox. I am at a loss as to why Firefox returns speed test results with pings of high 70's low 80's (ms), download speeds of .5 to 22mbps, and upload speeds of .5mbps - 1mbps. If I use IE (internet explorer) I get pings of 60ms, download speeds of 66mbps and uploads of 5mbps (which is where my internet should be). Yes I run the speed tests with no ad-ons or whatnot to make sure they aren't interfering with the test. This is such a huge difference in speed it's mind-boggling. Yes I do have a firewall and my browsers are allowed through them. Even though Firefox is returning such weird speed test results to me the browser is not behaving in a way to reflect those speeds (it loads things fine with a little lag every now and again). With conversations with my ISP Techs I won't be using Firefox to test my internet speeds but I will continue to use it for browsing. I do love Firefox but this issue is in itself strange.

Try beta.speedtest.net. I see you have Flash enabled so Speedtest might be redirecting you to the Flash version of the site instead of the HTML5 version.

I do notice I get significantly lower speeds on its legacy site than its more modern one.
