Saw a text came in and wanted to unlock phone, but it just hangs now with a black screen.
I saw the notice that a text came in and wanted to unlock phone, but it just hangs now with a black screen. Can't even switch off anymore. Via PC I can see 4 drives that ask me to be formatted before they can be used and one drive with two files, one them is VER_INFO.txt and holds this content "M8610AAAAANFYD1532.1" Any idea what went wrong here?

Hi tlue, I asked one of the developers for help on this one. It has sounded like a modem crash which "can be resolved by removing the battery or any other way of hard resetting"
Some devices this can be achieved by removing the battery, otherwise a forced hard reset may be required.
Please follow these steps to restart your device:
- Hold down the power button
- Select Restart
Hi guigs2 Thanks for your help in this - much appreciated. Unfortunately I have a Alcatel one touch 6015x, where the battery cannot be removed. holding down the power button does not do anything - the screen just stays black and I can't select "Restart". It seems at the very moment my only chance is to wait until the battery will be empty, right?
I am guessing this is so. Some devices, like yours are different. When I was asking in #b2g channel this was mentioned that some devices are like this. It was recommended to do a hard reset, or in other words turning the phone on and off.
Please do post back after the phone restarts. The OEM might also have specific instructions on how to hard reset the device.
