Thunderbird was working and then it stopped. I have checked the service status of my ISP. I can look at my emails on their website. I have checked my account configuration with them. What do I do now?

Can you explain that in more detail? What happens why you try to send or receive? Do you get any error message?
Yes - sending of username did not succeed. Mail Server pop.orangehome.co.uk responded: [IN-USE] Unable to lock maildrop: Mailbox is locked by POP server Login to server pop.orangehome.co.uk failed
You should talk to your email provider. The error is from the server.
