I access my bank via private browsing, but when I complete the 1st page, it refreshes itself & I've to start again. If I use Ffox start page it works ok. Why?

I access my bank via private browsing, but when I complete the 1st page, (name and a/c number) the page automatically refreshes itself & I have to start filling in the boxes again. However, the second time allows me to complete the form without any problems. If I use the ordinary Firefox Start Page I have no similar problems. The boxes can be filled without the site refreshing itself. Is there a reason for why this is happening in private browsing mode and not on the ordinary start page?
