I would like to change the short cut "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" to open Firefox in private browsing mode all the time. Though "firefox -private-window" works when I do it on Run (Windows + R), I would like to be able to open Firefox by clicking a short cut.

So,when i try to access youtube i get this error message:

An error occurred during a connection to www.youtube.com. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s). (Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap)

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

this problem stated yesterday,and i thought a restart would do it but it didnt,i already tried changing the

security.tls.version.fallback-limit to 1 but nothing happend,deleted and re-installed firefox,im using Bitdefender antivirus Premium,and Malware-byte as antivirus

Note:im not a tech wiz so any solution plz explain it like you would explain a 10 year old.

When I sign in Youtube with Firefox, Restricted mode always "on" and %95 of Youtube is blocked. It says: "Restricted Mode is enabled by your network administrator." and I'm not able to change that.

But When I sign in with Chrome I can change Restricted Mode and there isn't anyproblem.

I am the only one who can't use Youtube with Firefox in the family. Other computers doesn't have this problem.

I have cleaned past, deleted every extension and downgraded old version. ( I didn't delete my profile, yet. )

Do you have any ideas?

I got a new pc a few weeks ago and recently downloaded Firefox. I don't know if shockwave for director came with the download. But it's listed under PLUGINS. It shows a warning that it's vulnerable and should be updated. I don't want to do that. Even if I did update it, there isn't any way on the PLUGINS screen to REMOVE a plugin. That's what I want to do. I checked Windows Control Panel to unistall, but it's not listed under Adobe, Intel, Shockwave,etc. I read another post where people suggested some real techie things that I'd never want to try. Dear Firefox: please find a way to put "REMOVE" as an option to remove a plugin.

On this page, javascript menus (two of them) often do not load. If I click on Ctrl+F5 they may load on the 2nd attempt. This Page works well in IE, Chrome, Opera and mobile browsers, but not in FF. I have cleared the cache in FF by going to options, and have also worked with add-ons and made plug-ins to "Ask to Activate" . This problem persists...

The javascript menu bars sometimes do not show at all, or other times will appear, but have empty menu elements (the menu options do not show at all).

I have included a screenshot of how they (do not) appear in FF. Also another screenshot of how they do appear in other browsers, or after I click Ctrl+F5 in FF.

For some reason or other, the Windows 10 taskbar isn't displayed on top of the Firefox browser windows/pages. It stays on top in Google Chrome and in Internet Explorer. Why won't it stay on top in Firefox? I need to be able to see the time and date while browsing. Is there a fix to this? Please inform me of how to remedy this situation ASAP, or I will have to use Google Chrome (but I really don't want to!).

I have been working with Avast about this issue. Yesterday Avast had me update to their latest version which, according to Avast, is recognized by Mozilla's new add-on signing policy. This add-on was last updated May 20, 2015 according to the info on my browser. I cannot get the add-on to update manually or automatically (my default) on Firefox. I was going to remove it and do a new install in order to get the new Avast update, but when I went to the Add-ons on Firefox and did a search Avast did not show up. My current version of Avast Online Security is 11.1.2241, release date Nov 3, 2015 while the version showing in my browser is 10.1.0.170 with the May 20, 2015 update instead of Nov. 2015. How do I get the new version of Avast to work with Firefox? Thank you in advance to anyone who answers my request for help.

On my computer I have WinPatrol installed and at the close of every browsing session I used to make use of it's "view cookies" function to delete them. Recently I had reason to refresh FireFox and since then the view cookies function in WinPatrol no longer works. According to WinPatrol this is because the "filepath" to where cookies are stored has been deleted. Unfortunately I have no idea what the filepath is or how to restore it. If anybody out there could tell me what it is and how to restore it I should be eternally grateful. And yes, I do know that I am an idiot and should not be allowed near a computer that's why I'm asking for help. Thanks.

I have Firefox 42.0b1. I'm on the beta channel. Some time ago, I started to see this 'new tab page' with some of the websites that I've visited. In previous versions, I could disable this awful feature changing browser.newtab.url to about:blank. But this is not working anymore. Instead, FF now has a 'gear' button on the top right of the new tab page, which I can click to fake a blank page. But this is not the behavior that I'm expecting. I don't want anything to be loaded. No code, no graphics, no junk, no nothing, just an empty and fast page.

My question is: Is there any other way available on Firefox to have a completely empty new tab page??

Hello everyone Starting last month with the newest firefox update I've run into an annoying crashes whenever I play youtube or any thing using flash for firefox it will crash a few minutes later. So I read through mozilla support to fix the problem myself and did the following options: turned off hardware acceleration both for firefox and adobe, scanned for viruses, updated my drivers, and even did memtest86. All to no avail finally I decided to simply wait for the newest update to fix this bug. So the good news is it fixed the nvwgf2um.dll error but not msmpeg2vdec.dll.

I was fumblin' around in the about:config trying to get H.264 and MSE & H.264 enabled and I did get MSE & H.264 enabled, but not H.264. I also inadvertently disabled Webm VP8. Now I am unable to see YouTube videos in HTML, webm's, or stuff like this : http://gfycat.com/FineJubilantBoubou

I just get a green screen and if the video has audio, a buzzing noise.

It's very frustrating, and I would appreciate some assistance in getting these working again. Thank you.

I recently moved to another city, and after having my sons set up my computer, I have noticed that the Google Adsense ads that I have placed on my web site are not showing up in Firefox, yet they do show in other browsers. I've updated Java, cleared history and cache, etc., and Restarted my computer. And don't have any ad blockers going. Other people I know are able to see the ads; as well as Google staff, who say it is a problem with my computer. Any ideas what I can do? Thanks,

Hello All my data has disappeared during an update of Firefox. Everything is gone but there is a folder on my desktop called ?Old Firefox Data'

I have tried to import from this folder but there doesn't seem to be a way to do so.

Can you please direct me to the correct process. My old username and passwords also don't seem to be working and I haven't received the requested replacement username and password from Mozilla, though I did request them.

Ever since the upgrade to the newest version of firefox I cannot access all of the sites that I used to and receive an error stating that an ad blocker has been enabled. I cannot find an ad blocker so I have no idea on how to disable it. Please help. I need to disable this ad blocker.

The title says it all really: basically, I can not open a hyperlink in any E-Mail whilst using Outlook . I can if IE is the browser but not if it is Firefox. For information: my OS is Windows 7. Outlook is 2003.

I have a heavily customised FF v42 setup I am happy with but my Firefox version is seriously out of date and it's time to upgrade. I suspect a lot of things will no longer work on the latest version (particularly some of my old addons).

To ease the transition I want to be able to run my old version (temporarily for say a few weeks) and the latest one simultaneously so I can customise the new one the same standard and find solutions for anything that is no longer supported and still use my old install/addons until that transition is completed.

I understand the principles will be to:

1. Install current version in a different location. Is that just dragging the FF .app file to somewhere other than the Applications folder or is it asked as part of the install?

2. Use a different profile for each install. Not sure the sequence of doing this so that I don't lose my current (old) profile. I'm guessing it's create a new profile, switch to the new profile and then install current version which will "take over" the new profile. Then I can switch back to the old one when I run my my old FF?

Any help greatly appreciated.

This is the second time it happens in couple of months. Trying to download a file get stuck when it reach the end of the size. I cannot clear it from history or cancel it.

I have tried to visit several websites today, but when I get there it says i have cookies disabled and that i need to enable them to visit the site. When I go to check my cookies settings it says they are ON! Why am I all of a sudden having this issue? I have not changed any of my settings! Please help. I need these sites to finish my work!
