i abitually open more sheets with varius pages of the same site (for example 4 pages of wikipedia) on some sites wher i have to consent the privacy i consent on the first page that i open but then i havce to consent on all the sheets i open, how can i make him understand that is the same sites and i alredy gave my consent? i tried to play with the options in pyvacy setting but the resuts don't change, i'm sure there is a way because if i stay in the same sheet it doesn't happen.

Firefox (84.0.2 x64) has recently become a memory hog to the point where my system (W7) slows to a point where it is unusable. I do not wish to spend an entire day (or more) troubleshooting in the hope that I can make go away a problem that didn't exist 1 month ago do so how can I roll back to an earlier release (say the one running in december last year) which did not have any of these problems?

I attach two screen prints from a laptop (W7 12GBRam) running one instance of firefox with maybe 20 open tabs Windows Task Mgr which shows Firefox with 9 processes using around 5GB with one process using 2GB Firefox task mgr which shows 25 tabs using a total of around 0.5GB

Clearly the info in the firefox taskmgr is rubbish - or rather not reporting the same thing!

I have a some problem. I received a *.xlsm file via e-mail, but when I click on it to download, firefox opens or saves it as *.xlsx

I tried this operation in other browsers, and they worked correctly.

Could you please help me to solve this problem?

Cannot sync my bookmarks, logins, extensions in Firefox 84.0.2. Same thing with Ubuntu 20.04 and now Linux Mint latest stable version.

Is there any way to bookmark all synced tabs? I'm trying to move my open tabs from my phone to my pc.

I know you can right click a single synced tab and "Bookmark this tab". But I would like to do it for all open tabs.

I know you can "Open all in tabs", but that is an awful solution due to lag and potential redirects.

None of the available migration or restore methods are capable of preserving OneTab data. In every case I have tried, OneTab is missing from the add-ons in my new installation or profile. The only approach which achieved anything at all was to replace the entire .mozilla director under Ubuntu, but even this only displayed the OneTab page and its data on the first invocation of Firefox. Since the add-on was not present, the data was gone at the second invocation. However, repeating this process at least allowed me to export the OneTab data from *one* profile on the first invocation. Unfortunately, this method is completely useless under Windows, as are the recommended approaches of using Firefox sync (with sync turned on for add-ons) or replacing the contents of a newly created profile with the contents of an old or saved one. How can I properly backup and restore or migrate a Firefox installation, *including* my OneTab installation and data?

Hello I was attempting to backup my c-drive documents to onedrive when my computer crashed. When I turned it back on I could no longer access any of the files I had attempted to back up on my C-drive (panic!). I looked online for advice and followed advice to unlink Onedrive and restart. I did this and managed to find my C-drive files (phew) but the whole of my desktop and browser history, passwords, bookmarks etc has been completely wiped. There is some really important things in there and I would really like to get it back. Any help much appreciated...I am not tech minded so any advice as simply put as possible please....

A couple of annoying things have happened since I switched to Firefox as my main browser: • clicking on ‘mail to’ links no longer takes me to outlook, which is my main email provider • all of my PDF files stored in ‘my documents’ have been converted into Firefox web files I’d like these restored to my previous settings but can’t see how to do this!

The scroll wheel is not working in Firefox. It works in other programs, so it is not a problem with my mouse.

It just started today. I have cleared my data and cookies, and restarted Firefox. I have not installed any new extensions in months.

This is a serious usability issue. I will have to switch to another browser, that will allow the use of the scroll wheel.

I have a web page that prints a document, and then redirects back to the main page. This website has always worked in every browser, and now in Firefox 84.0.2 it no longer redirects.

What changed in Firefox, and how do I get it redirecting again?

I have a file open with firefox's inbuilt pdf viewer. I switch to a different window. When I return to firefox's window, on my first click anywhere on the text, firefox will instantly jump a few pages forward. This only started happening lately, and happens often but not always.

I need to completely block videos from autoplaying! So far I've done the following:

  Switch firefox settings to block video and audio
   media.autoplay.default = 5
   media.autoplay.allow-extension-background-pages = false
   media.autoplay.block-event.enabled = true
   media.autoplay.block-webaudio = true
   services.sync.prefs.sync.media.autoplay.default = false
   media.autoplay.enabled.user-gestures-needed = false (android)

(or)

   media.autoplay.blocking_policy = 2 (PC)

The videos are hidden from the start but if you click anywhere in the website they pop up!

I always have opened eBay login page in a Container, as you can see in the screenshot (purple bar). Somehow, eBay still knows it's me (upper left corner), and doesn't ask for my username, as they already have/know it. How can this be when Containers are supposed to empty all cookies upon closing?
