Will not permit me to load an old profile. Your instructions on the recovering data page just feed me into an endless loop of prompts to create a new profile.

The old profiles had my logins for work. I would prefer not to have to spend hours resetting something like 15-20 logins and profiles and then the next two months forgetting what the new ones are.

I get this error message:

The proxy server is refusing connections

Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.

   Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct.
   Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working.

What do I have to do to fix this?

When I open a PDF file on Firefox, it is opening with Adobe Reader. But when I click in a link of a picture in JPEG format en Firefox, it is opening in a new tab in the browser. I would like to set by default paint. How can I change that please ?

I fixed this by installing FFMPEG which installs libavcodec.so.58

DRM Playback is enabled under preferences.

In order to resume a download, there are currently far too many steps required to make it very user-friendly, as seen [here].

There should be a better, integrated way to reliably resume downloads, such as having the reload button next to the file automatically resume the download instead of starting it over.

This is especially important for very large files such as ISO's and archives.

I need to use a german authority website in context with firefox (68.10.0esr) to transfer data to the authority. After putting in the data and choosing a ZIP file for upload, a app (java) should open. This is a governikus secure software to confirm my identity by using a card reader and a trustworthy ID card. But the java app doesn't start. I use java 8.251. I have removed all popup blockers. The versions I use are recomended by governikus. I tried this with the microsft IE11 as well, doesn't work ... Could the problem be java sript? I have to activate it but I don't know if it is activated and I don't know how to activate

I used to love Firefox. But now I am going to delete it. Every time I sign in there is another update! Enough already. The program works fine --- LEAVE IT ALONE!

I received a FireFox update today and lost all of my bookmarks. I tried to sign into Firefox Sync using my work email and I couldn't remember my password. I tried to reset it and when I get to the screen to enter the new password, I get a warning that says Undeliverable Email. I've tried multiple times to reset it and no luck. Any ideas on how this can be resolved?

Those values are not honored by the ctrl + mouse wheel zoom. The mouse wheel only uses increments of 10%. So how do I fix it so the mouse wheel zoom honors toolkit.zoomManager.zoomValues?

we have all Win10 in our enviromnet with 200+ endpoints all running FF as default browser. Our core banking platform is supported in FF and many of our 3rd party apps require us to use FF. Since the FF update in June, we are having random users crash everyday and the only thing that will get them working is to re-install FF we have the latest ESR and the regular version all on latest versions . Out of 200 or so PCs, we have at least 4 or 5 random users crashing daily. its not happening for me, but for many others its a regular thing.

Is there a paid option for FF support to help troubleshoot this? we cannot just go to another browser at this time. below is an example of error. can provide crash reports if needed. we have sent some crash reports but nothing so far has fixed this. Boss man thinks its due to one program or another causing this to close xul.dll __ just started crashing again with every launch.
