Youtube play paused a minute while switching audio output

Dear friends,

My mobile phone is OnePlus 8 Pro. ColorOS 13.0/Android 13. Firefox ver 111.1.1. My earphone is SONY WI-1000XM2.

When Youtube videos were playing in firefox Android, it always paused for a minute when following events happened:

  • switch on/off my earphone
  • end an incoming call

it seems Firefox takes long time to get back the audio output device. Chrome takes just one second to reconnect the audio device.

Hi

Have you tried the latest version of Firefox for Android available from the Google Play store as it looks like you are using the previous version number.

It also looks like your connection speed is slow - are you able to access a faster WiFi connection?

I just downloaded the latest version 112.2.0. It improves.

When I switch on/off my bluetooth earphone, the youtube playing pauses 24 seconds. Much better than 1 minute before. I can tolerate.

Chrome just takes 1 second in same situation.
