Tiktok and YouTube bypass user-defined autoplay settings

Tiktok and YouTube bypass my Firefox autoplay settings. By default, I set Firefox to disable autoplay of audio and video. I seldom use the website, but when I do, it blasts music at me the moment I visit the site. As a headphone user, that's really annoying!

To a lesser degree, YouTube does as well. If I'm not subscribed to a channel, it will autoplay the channel's featured video on the Home tab. Example: https://www.youtube.com/user/carolinaeyckvideos
