Firefox for Android Community Forum

Just purchase this new tablet but Firefox won't allow me to open it on this new device. I'm still allowed on my cell phone what is the problem.? This is way more complicated than it should be. Please help.. Whenever I have a website bookmarked on my home screen from Firefox Mobile, it opens a separate process where I have no access to my tabs, address bar or settings. I'd like to regain the full functionality of Firefox regardless of where I open the website from. I don't know if this is immersive mode or some other mode.

Issue description: Firefox for Android stops playing audio and video in the background whenever I switch to a new tab or move the app to the background.

This happens on multiple websites such as YouTube,YouTube Music, Spotify Web Player, and other media streaming sites. As soon as Firefox is not in the foreground, playback pauses automatically. this issue persist in every media playing sites.

Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Firefox on Android 2. Play any video or music (for example on YouTube or Spotify web) 3. Open a new tab or switch to another app 4. Audio/video stops immediately

Expected result: Media should continue playing in the background, similar to other browsers or previous Firefox behavior.

Actual result: Playback stops as soon as Firefox loses focus or is sent to background.

Additional information: - Happens every time - Tried restarting phone and reinstalling Firefox - Battery optimization settings disabled for Firefox - Issue does not occur in other browsers

i want to delete some site data to free up space since my firefox browser takes up 2.1GB of storage but i don't know which one takes up the most data and i don't want to delete data from ALL website.

I have been unable to see or access the yahoo comments in Firefox on my android phone since about a week after the new year. Has something changed? How can this be fixed? Please help.

When I open a new tab on Android as of a few weeks ago there are no suggestions, except to swap to a previous tab with a similar name to what's in the address bar. If I hit the search drop down to the left of the address bar or hit enter in the tab and retry typing suggestions appear. See attached images for reference.

EDIT: Nevermind. Update fixed the issue!

As of today, when I drag left or right on the screen in the browser, it tries to switch between next/previous tabs. This happens even if there's a web app I'm using that allows for click-and-drag functionality. I can't find a setting to turn this feature off.

Very difficult browser to use on Android Note 20. I'm on my third day of trying to block Facebook ads on my Note20 Android phone using Firefox browser and UBlock extension. So far, no matter the UBlock settings, the Facebook page icons are grayed out rectangles and I cannot distinguish what is going on.
