I am not too good with the computer and have just starting using Firefox. I will do my best to describe my question so please bar with me. I have 2 rows of websites that I frequent...actually only using the first row and 5 spaces in the second row. When I go to a different website Firefox is automatically adding that website to one of the boxes in the second row which I do not want. How do I stop this? Question 2...using Ebay as an example...if I keep searching on Ebay and have looked at lets say 5 different pages how do I go back to the home screen without having to hit the back button 6 times? 1) Cannot restore them even after logging into account with same email address. 2) Windows.old does not exist. 3) Tried %APPDATA% method to use "Gibberish".default folder for profile recovery. (Might need some guidance here but overall it did not work too.

Firefox was always logged in with same email account and it should've synced all the data.

I want to import everything from avast secure browser, but ASB does not show in the browsers option. Is there a roundabout way to import everything(passwords, bookmarks etc)?

There was an update download recently. Did something change that prevents me from seeing this website: https://vk.com/video/@miselet It takes forever to load and blinks on and off the whole time. When it finally loads, I click on a day's videos and all it does is give me an error message. I had no problem with that site in May when I watched the daily videos from the May sumo tournament.

Have a serious problem - all my bookmarks are gone from Firefox. I went to restore (it shows 498 bookmarks from various dates) but when I go to restore it is not successful. HELP. I am lost without these bookmarks!!

All the icons on the taskbar when I open up Firefox have disappeared... and I now have the same "world" type symbol for everything. I've Googled and followed instructions, but I'm not seeing what the instructions are telling me to look for, so I can't make the changes.

Can you please send me a step-by-step on how to resolve this. I can't even 'open a page in a new tab'. That function has also disappeared.  ?????

I don't know what could have caused this. Would appreciate your help.

Is there a way to create categories on Bookmarks Toolbar?

I have many bookmarks and I just want to organise them by naming the front of the row. I might need to add empty spacers too. For example, Banking - has about 8 bookmarks, then new row will be Crypto - 11 bookmarks, Social Media - 4 bookmarks, News - 6 bookmarks and so on.

I have searched for this everywhere but no answer as yet. Does anyone have trick they use to achieve something similar to above?

In Chrome I can browse my bookmark tree, right click on a folder and "Add Page", which directly adds the current URL to that folder. Firefox shows only "Add (a blank) Bookmark", "Add Folder", etc. No way to add the current page. Is there a way to add that I'm not seeing, other than dragging the URL physically?

Firefox bookmarks are duplicating exponentially in the toolbar. I delete them, only to have them reappear seconds later. I have turned off sync, restored from prior bookmarks, repeatedly deleted them, only to have them all reappear. I am about ready to give up on Firefox, even though I've used it for decades. Please help!

Since when has it been that resetting my password erased my bookmarks???? I have used Firefox for years now and amassed some very important bookmarks for work, bills and everything else. I know I have reset my password before without having lost my bookmarks, so why is it that way now?

Security be damned, it is utter bs that bookmarks are erased.

I've been through a rough patch with Firefox the past couple of weeks.

Cutting to the chase: I exported all my bookmarks and imported them in a new profile.

But the icons that used to be there aren't.

Not *end of the world*, but just something I noticed.

(I just about shot myself in the foot) Ok, after using one to open a tab and the icon returned. So is that how they get their icons?
